It's not just the monarchy though - its England not being a secular state(joining the likes of Afganistan, Jordan, Iran, Saudia Arabia and Somailia), all the ponce of the houses of parliament that make it seem so inaccessible for the ordinary person, an unelected house of lords and the whole harping back to the empire and this idea that being "British" gives one a sort of sense of morality and decency that other countries don't have(you can say the idea of national identity is in every country but it seems so arrogant and belittling to other countries this idea of "Britishness"). And also I'd like to think if Scotland came independent when the current queen died we'd have a referendum to get out of this malarkey. We should all at least be born equal.

Just started working for the summer and I switch between radio Scotland and radio 4. When ever John Beattie appears on radio Scotland I instantly switch over. He is clearly a fucking idiot and I have no idea how anyone can stand him or how he gets to keep his job. He is clearly neither intelligent, interesting or funny to listen to but is definitely annoying and very alan partridge like. After about a week of occasionally listening to him I'd love to punch him.

Pretty sure that if it's a small fence then you won't need planning permission. But even if you did you can just get retrospective permission. But it seems a bit OTT to cordon off an area of a communal garden. Can you not just tell the folk with the dog to pick up it's shit? Seems like a better solution than to build a fence.

Pretty sure he will be doubling his wages there. He will be on 4k a week or something similar and would have been offered 2k or something similar here. Football is a short career and so I find it difficult to blame him or "the system" but I just can't be fucked anymore.
