  1. I dont remember him being rocket quick but i think hes a bit more mobile than vernon. My main memory of him was scoring loads of goals

  3. That would be maguire well and truly forgotten if true
  4. sfa - receptacle for the the respectable
  5. I was at a pub quiz last night and one of the teams was called "millie dowler - i'd tap that"
  6. CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRIOOOOO CHEERIO CHEERIO
  7. unfuckingbelievable i know every support has knobs but jesus
  8. absofuckinglutely 100% agree with this. Anderson took time to grow into the role but when he got there he was a fantastic skipper. Easily the best since mcleish for me (though that is not to say i have forgotten a skipper in the interluding period). One of the best things done under JC's management was the turning of Anderson into Captain. I think it was probably Jimmy Nichol that made it happen.
  9. This seemed a good way to start a thread on kilroys most hated team http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/uk-scotland-tayside-central-14050761
  10. Doc Brown moment at the mention of alan gow!
  11. What i mean is he's in the job six months, had time to take stock and is now looking at how to shape the team in the manner he wants. As for who he wants out the door i would hazard a guess at mackie and paton, maybe mcardle too
  12. Think this is clearly a slow news day. Guys been in charge for 6 months and is exactly where he should be.
  13. He scored a peach against ict a few seasons back when we beat them 3-0 at their ground. It was the best goal of his i ever saw in the flesh.
  14. True dat still think he would have a field day against a lot of current spl full backs these days
  15. I would, thought he was never given much of an opportunity by calderwood and always left on the bench. I remember him on a rare start against utd absolutely running the game, everything good went through, then he was promptly dropped the game after.
  16. would still take hayes of ict in a heartbeat too
  17. I remember calling him christina for a large part of his time with us due to his apparent lack of balls. He was a player that did improve steadily and i thought he was very usefull in his last year, he got a lot more confident and took people on a lot more. The assault on hutton was the stuff that dreams are made off. Welcome back chris, i really hope you pick up where you left of or you'll be going back to christina
  18. Not spoken to him since january
  19. He is, i know the guy he's apprenticing with
  20. I'm quite curious as to who the critics think is the kind of player we are capable of trying to sign that we are not already. Ultimately the entire game in scotland is on its knees. EG The huns are getting outbid by championship fucking cardiff city for what can only be described a player of youthful promise but questionable attitude. The whole club level set up in this country is at its lowest point EVER and its probably going to get worse (i dont think to much but only because there is only so low its possible to delve). Shit even a self proclaimed aberdeen fan in the twilight of his career isnt even that interested. Why? Because the league is shit. There is no money. There is no competition. The interest in the league is dwindling exponentially as a result and the only spark of hope that clubs can hope to ignite in fans is through the development of youth. There is very little that can be done about the state of affairs until the financial bubble bursts down south (which is surely inevitable) or the old firm fuck off and allow the scottish game to be competed amongst more than two teams though it is possible folk may just not care anymore even if their local side can win the league.
  21. Aye, it was a stadium of carlos tevez's
  22. Aye so its a way of figuring out the players worth if your wanting to sell but if you have the player under contract you dont HAVE to sell for that if you dont want to. Ronaldo wasnt going to make 80 million out of man utd on his contract, nowhere near it. It took that amount of cash to persuade utd to part with him.
  23. totally
  24. Yep modric is indeed what used to be called a central midfielder before everyone had to be either defensive or attacking (i blame the americans for this polarised view entering football, it all started after usa 94). Modric for me is easily the best midfielder in england and in perspective to the inflated transfer market easily worth 35-40 mill
