I used to work with his (now deceased) dad, a building industry lecturer, who bore the same name. He was very loyal to ‘Raymond’ but limited any out-of-school tales to those of Clough’s fondness for booze, which he said was one of the reasons that the loon got out of Nottingham. I thought he’d be a good signing, but I’d been equally enthusiastic when we signed Tommy Rae from Firhill in 1968…..

Nae even a two-match day (Maroons v Forres at 3pm as an appetiser) has me enthusiastic for such an anti-fitba kick off time at Pittodrie. EVEN MIDWEEK GAMES SHOULD KICK OFF AT 3PM ON SATURDAYS. SORT IT THE FUCK OOT.
-
Ach you’d probably have been saying the same thing when Eddie Turnbull was keeping tabs on the loon Harper in Greenock in 1968.

Is it our hero, Bicycle Repair Man? But how?
-
Ta. Fuck.

It’s nae Trump mistaking Mastrick Land for Greenland, is it?

Loan or contract?
-
Kelle Roos has joined Kilmarnock as back-up ‘keeper, on loan from Notts County, for the rest of this awful season.
-
I’m sure he would have, but bin day (Thursday) was one of the days he spent at Filbert Street. Only one bin then. In fact, no bins, just the black bags that were a seagull’s buffet.

I am currently looking at the dividing wall that would have had Peter Weir on the other side of it as he was my next door neighbour when we moved here in 1988. He was playing for Leicester City then, as TDBTD reveals. He spent 3-4 days a week in Leicester and was around here from Sunday-Tuesday generally. A good guy.

Here are the comments (I hope) copied from the Herald/National online. Excuse the layout All Comments5 Newest All Comments Comment by Robbie Devine. RD Robbie DevineSUBSCRIBER3 HRS AGOWhataboutery from likes of Mr Greene and Mr Baker is embarrassing. Reply by Lewis Baker. LB Lewis Baker2 HRS AGO Go and sit in the naughty corner with Graeme McGarry. Whataboutery is a legitimate question against this one-sided article. I could also highlight the Rangers fanbase continually accusing Aberdeen fans of beastiality. If there is a fanbase that should be staying quiet about abusive behaviour it is the Rangers fan base. Comment by Joseph Greene. JG Joseph Greene4 HRS AGO Strange, Graeme, that you take no offence at the Famine Song, which mocks the deaths of around one million people. Just banter, is it? Maybe we should stop moaning about it, and just 'go home'?EDITED Comment by Lewis Baker. LB Lewis Baker4 HRS AGO A bit of selective outrage there Graeme, what's the difference between mocking the death of Lisbon Lions, Bobby Sands, or each and every Pope that dies and those of the Ibrox disasters. The people in glass houses should not throw stones. Reply by Martin Falcon. MF Martin Falcon4 HRS AGO The mods deleted my comment about this very behaviour highlighted in the article being practised in this forum. So much for naming and shaming.

Here’s the article in the Herald, which also publishes The National. Strange and somewhat hypocritical bedfellows. https://archive.ph/8DEsG Whilst our fans (especially if they weren’t around and cogent enough to understand the 71 carnage) are laying themselves down as bait in referencing it, the hypocrisy extends both ways. Both Ibrox clubs’ followers have displayed much worse behaviour, and continue to be immune to having the documented and threatened sanctions applied to them for their bigoted repertoire. They’re establishment and therefore immune. The fucking cunts.

Apparently he’s the Scotsman’s sports editor and his speciality is Hearts, Hibs, Sevco5088, and the VicTims.

Scotsman report courtesy of Webpage Archive. Do you know this prick, Panda? (Note well-placed apostrophe…) https://archive.ph/sJzUL

The Scotsman report on yesterday’s bunfecht is fucking appalling. I read via Pressreader, and infringement of copyright is a red card offence, quite correctly, so I cannot copy n paste. Mark Atkinson, whoever the fuck he is, uses up a considerable proportion of his allocated word count having a right go at Dons fans for the content of their vocal input, and the small quantity of harmless objects thrown at the Hun subs. Not a syllable or as much as a phoneme concerning the sectarian content of our visitors’ singing, and the general moronic abuse that the bastards were dishing out, or of the vandalised seating.

My first inkling of his presence (the PA’s fucking hopeless) was when I glanced at the big screen during some sort of hold-up, and saw the image of him in discussion with Interim Pete. A luxury, some say fanny dancer.
-
Robson got the best out of him during the loan period. I was like a dog with two stroops when we signed him.
-
Pass marks today limited to Shinnie, Devlo, and Clarkson.
-
Canna see it trailed elsewhere on here, but for anyone without Red TV, Pingu’s interview with Mal Panton is honest, insightful, and has given me a virtual shot of enthusiasm. He’s speaking the language we need to hear. YouTube link….

“Might” is doing a hoor of a heavy lifting there.
-
The Red TV interview with Interim Pete’s predictably cagey. Sorry to see Jimmy go, is non-committal on the chance he’ll be given the gig, has ambitions, cites the away games at Fir Park and Dens as inspirations due to the fans’ backing, had a heart-to-heart (including those who appear to need a transplant) with the squad today, where Shinnie also laid down his tuppence worth, and generally spoke the expected managerese with a poker face throughout. I like the boy a lot, but that’s not me making a pitch for him to get the gig.

Whilst TMSTID’s victory over their inferior rivals on Saturday was welcomed, Pressley makes a bit of a cunt of it in his press statement in today’s Herald: ”Pressley also paid tribute to the travelling support for the backing they gave the team at Tannadice. The former Scotland defender added: “The fans were amazing today. And I know how much this game means to them.”” The game was played in Dundee, ye gype, about 200 yards from yer ain midden. Heid in hands e-moji thingmer…

The drones online are calling for the boy fae Motherwell to be appointed. 20-odd games into his first season??? No the fuck thanks.

Just got that from a usually-reliable individual. Awaiting verification.
