Having watched the Falkirk vs Diets game at the weekend I’m happy to concede that McGlynn deserves proper consideration. He’s got those lads running through brick walls for him - can’t remember the last time I could say that for us. Nobody’s disputing he’s a good manager, I’m sure he’d do a job short term. I think we can do better, and do better from this league. As others have said, if McGlynn is seen as a viable candidate then David Martindale should be right up there beside McGlynn being quoted as a good potential fit then. But he’s not, nobody has mentioned him, nobody wants him - doubtless all because of that superficial pish you mention…

Very poor AFC. Sokler and Vinny definitely prove the old line that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Both were spectacularly average. Nowhere near what we need to actually progress and get better. I agree they are no worse than some of the dross we have here now, but by fuck that’s an incredibly low bar. McGlynn has done a fabulous job at Falkirk. As mentioned though, he was a disaster at the diets so that’s a massive red flag. He’s also a fair age now so that’s doesn’t help. Constantly trying to get into a wrestling match with CH’s (and losing) instead of doing your job isn’t physicality, its stupidity. Nilsen isnt really a midfield enforcer - just another Scandi not suited to our football. Gyamfi its too early to comment, though the fact that a stiff breeze seems to be enough to injure him doesn’t bode well. Either way, we need a few more than 3 physical players - and certainly at CH.
