  1. He’s also performing well, & in his system, under our next manager too, so what’s not to like…
  2. Zero physicality is one of the real glaring issues - among many. It looks like a squad constructed by a nice gentle Scandinavian person - someone with absolutely no knowledge of the basic requirements of football in the Scottish league - to play in a nice gentle Scandinavian league. Funny that. The alarming thing is nobody at the club seems to have pointed this fundamental flaw out during any recruitment at any point in the last 18 months. Aye, Peter Leven, that includes you (with apologies if you did but just got ignored - though based on your formation and approach this last two games I do find that hard to believe)
  3. Absolutely. Played like a guy protecting himself for his next move - which doubtless is being lined up for this month. Either way, folk like him are zero use to us at this time - and he’ll be costing a fortune in Aberdeen terms - so just send him back now.
  4. It was just the same - so why the fuck is he persisting with the same tactical & formation bollocks? Its absolutely mental. Thats as annoying as this squad of absolute fairies are…
  5. Well there we are. Two games against a bang average hun team, zero points and zero goals. But then we’re over 6 hours without a goal now so not a massive surprise. It’s staggering how we have constructed a squad with zero physicality and that is so wholly unsuited to playing together, or in any of the formations we try to play. Its truly mind boggling. Data based recruitment? What fucking data are they using ffs. Why is Peter Thelin persisting with the same honking tactics and formations that have not worked for over a year? Doesnt reflect well on him at all either. This lot are absolutely bottom six level. Time to just baton down the hatches and get to seasons end without getting relegated. One or two physical CH’s to help cut out the pathetic set piece nonsense and maybe some legs in midfield. Get rid of whatever deadwood they can now, though good luck with that. No point signing a striker, nobody is scoring in this setup. Then clear the decks totally in the summer and start again - yet again. Depressing…
  6. Look at the way Hearts defended their box earlier today. That’s what we need. CH’s & full backs like that. Oh, and a decent keeper too. And while i’m at it, why is Leven persisting with this inverted winger pish. IT DOESNT FUCKING WORK MIN!!
  7. Weak, weak, weak. Got away with another one there Mitov. Fuck all wrong wi that. Another free run into the box for an opposition player from a set piece too. Anyone still saying we don’t need a whole new set of CH’s is beyond help…
  8. Our set piece defending is just an absolute disgrace. I’ve never seen such regular utterly basic incompetence. Poor recruitment of a bunch of naive, weak defensive wet wipes - Polvara is a perfect example. The coaches who have done fuck all in 2 years to fix it need all fired too..
  9. Yet another free header from a corner in our box. Seriously, WTF do they work on at training?
  10. Motherwell just scored a lovely goal “in transition”. Won the ball in their box, 3 or 4 quick accurate passes, one end to the other, bang…. Goal. Everything we have utterly failed to do, pretty much ever, in recent years and certainly under JT when it was supposed to be one of our key tactical approaches. Get it done Lutz…
  11. I’m not. His record as per Wiki is really nothing special. Been at some big names, but not done a lot. Just seen that Motherwell have conceded the least number of goals in the league, and the least goals from set pieces, despite the fact they are not a particularly big team (sound familiar?) - and we know how utterly abysmal we are at defending them. Just another tick in the box for my man Askou. Ok you could say his record is nothing special too, but we’ve seen what he’s done in Scotland, and with mostly the same squad they had last year that did nothing. Get it done Lutz…
  12. No straight up loans from the arse cheeks or anyone else up here. It’s embarrassing being used as a feeder club development ground for those fuckers. We’re better than that. Loan with agreed fee option to buy (our call on the option) like McCrorie, or a permanent move, worth considering…
  13. Clarke has been very clear in the past he doesn’t want to manage either arse cheek. Basically said he got out of Scotland to get him and his family away from all that bigotry crap. Just can’t see him going near either of them. He doesn’t need the money or the hassle. Not sure he said Killie was the only job he’d take up here, it was more he wouldn’t take an ugly sister job. Should be a candidate as he’s done very well in our league, but is his style of football aligned to the style we say we want to play? I’m not so sure…
  14. That’s exactly what he said in his interview, along with stuff about the new manager having a bit of passion & fire in the belly (i.e. not Thelin). So on that basis half the folk being mentioned won’t qualify. Askou does qualify though…
  15. I’m perfectly happy for Shinnie to get the credit for maiming that dog bothering arsehole. He’s earned the right…
  16. Askou is a no brainer for me. Ticks all the boxes & if he could bring 2 or 3 of that Well team with him, all the better. As for the quotes in the article, that’s just exactly what every manager says in these situations, it’s exactly what you would expect to see…
  17. Good work that man - he is indeed one of our own!! One down, one to go Shinnie min, you know fit to dee…
  18. We will - to an extent. Fundamentally, we are badly coached at set pieces across the board. The amount of goals we concede demonstrates that. But, we are also incapable of dealing with any type of ball into the box, corners, crosses, free kicks, long throws. We are also incapable of dealing with long balls over the top, and our CH’s lose way too many one on one headers versus attacking players. It’s because they are either physically weak, not big or tall enough, just not good in the air, lack the required aggression for the position or a combination of all of the above. Every single one of them. Ergo, we desperately need a Pollock / Hughes type, or that issue ain’t going anywhere no matter who we put in charge…
  19. Somebody just needs to smash Barron. The way he was allowed to ponce about with nobody getting near him last night was embarrassing. Doubt we’ll get a result with this current squad as the flaws in it are just too great, so smash that wee shite in the middle, and the other Judas up front when he gets his obligatory 20 minutes and we can all go home happy…
  20. The goals we are conceding are all headers though. I’m not sorry to say it as we play in Scottish football and you have to be able to handle the demands of that - we are crying out for a Pollock type in there or a John Hughes type as Orlando said - abso fucking lutely. A big hairy arsed CH who wins everything and dominates physically. What a difference that would make - just like Pollock did. We’ve got a shower of lightweight wet wipes in there and its being shown up every single week and costing us big time…
  21. That lot really are nothing special, they just do the basics much better than us. We created a good few chances, the usual poor execution and decision making let us down. No surprise there. We are just reaping the results of incredibly poor recruitment (players either unsuited to Scottish football or unable to play the formation(s) we use), incredibly poor coaching (Thelin must take the lions share of the blame here) resulting in a really poor squad of players. Only positive, didn’t let that wank up front score, though we managed to make that dog bothering arsehole in midfield look like prime Pirlo - another embarrassment. The bench told us everything we needed to know about those “egos” today too. it’s reset and restart time - again. Hopefully the clear out starts this month…
  22. Defensively we’ve been an absolute shambles since the Pollock, MacDonald, Scales 3 was broken up. Too soft, not big enough, not physical enough, not able to do the absolute basics, totally unable to win a header, totally unable to win a challenge against an opponent no matter how big or small they are (Raskin ffs) or clear our lines. They are also clearly not well coached, its been the same issues and basic errors week after week for literally years now…
  23. I was talking about Nisbet. A fully firing confident Nisbet takes that ball into the box and buries it…
  24. Ive seen us worse than this down there amazingly enough. We are unfortunately encumbered with a bunch of players who just cannot do the basics well enough and are just not good enough all over the park. The “defending” just defies belief…
  25. Our defence and defending is just a disgrace. Our coaching of set pieces and basic defending is a disgrace. Our lack of ability to do absolute basics is a disgrace. Complete reset required - again. We need to clean house, clear the decks all over the park and start again. Depressing stuff, again…
