The Young brothers are the only Scots left,as was Bon Scott. There's images of them with Scotland tops on pre Argentina '78,but can't recall any hun links

    Brother (singular).

Malcolm died a few years back and his son has taken over in rhythm guitar.

He was also born in scotland though but entire family was from Glasgow East end so barring a link to religion id be more inclined to put them in the green section.

Anyway this isnt the first time their merchandisers have done tie ups with sports teams so nothing special

This interim manager stuff baffles me.

If Robson is good enough to become the next Aberdeen manager then give him the job.  If he is deemed not good enough then why would you give him the job for a while?  No point sacking the current manager you think is not good enough just to replace him with another that is not good enough???

Just decide who you want and give him the job now.

We need someone who knows the Scottish game, not someone who needs on the job training. We already have a lot of players with little experience of this league.  Get in an experienced man who has been around the block and is not going to be fazed by the size of the club and expectation level.

And doesn't go into every match at Ibrox or Parkhead thinking the game is already lost so play for damage limitation

    Surely the end.

Miovski still can't win the ball in non league.

Team Created fuck all and never realised that the pitch was short as we kept trying to go long 🤦

Worst result in the clubs history surely.

And biggest shock in scottish cup history.

Brora and Hearts lose their crowns to Darvel and aberdeen

  4. Having flashbacks to a cup tie at starks park in the mcghee era.

Real nasty atmosphere in the dons end and fuse only snuffed out in last minute when Gary Macdonald tapped in from about yards out.

Its the seeming lack of pride that bugs me most with these dons players

This mob are basically amateurs. We’ll hump them. Never mind a “stenhousemuir moment”, if Darvel were to beat Aberdeen it would be the biggest upset in Scottish football history.

Wonder if Hearts had a similar team talk before they stepped out on the pitch at Brora?

  6. It seems to me the majority of referees (not just in scotland) will happily concede responsibility for anything the moment they are told to look at the VAR screen.
That penalty at Parkhead was a joke.

Very true. Although for what it’s worth, Wigan paid 30k to sign shinnie from derby. Perhaps they may accept a ‘reasonable’ offer for him to go home to his family?

Derby were in administration at the time and Shinnie's contract was going to expire 6months later. In better circumstances Id say Wigan would have been told to GTF

  8. So having been lost in the world of work, was this akin to say 'Scotland vs the All blacks' in the rugby world cup in 2007 ie one team just never bothered and as I see it 'cheated' several thousand people out of ticket money?

I reckon you’d fit a stadium on the Broadford Works site, that could be decent especially if we re-use the red bricks into the design. Plenty of pubs on all sides. Possibility of sticking a rudimentary train platform on the existing track with 100 metres. More footfall for George Street businesses.

    Too small

Dundee are building a 15,000 capacity stadium - I imagine quite basic to keep the price down - and that's all I can see us doing.

The word 'are' should not be used until the builders set up the site.
Right now all Dundee have done is submit a 'proposal of Application notice' which is essentially the club telling the council they are thinking about building a stadium but are planning to consult the public first, but wanted to ask if the council required them to consult anyone else before they put in a formal planning application.

Council has recommended they submit an 'applicaiton for pre-application advice' before they put in a formal planning application which at least hints they are willing to assist the club to get consent for it but I reckon it will be at least 18months to 2 years before they get planning approval. Then comes the staged building warrant application which would take another 1-2 years taking us to 2026. If by then  the UK hasnt become slightly more sensible, the price of materials might be so high and the availability of labour so low the most basic no frills stadium might not be financially viable even if they were able to sell Dens park for housing.
I know next to nothing about Dundee but like many other residential areas around old UK football stadia, the streets around Dens and Tannadice don't stick out to me as a prime luxury housing development opportunities

Josh Dacres-Cogley has too many names, but I think we should still give him every chance if he does come in January. Have we had a double barreler before (specifically last name and hyphenated, so none of the Dutch lads or Ojo)? GMS was probably the only one I can think of, which suggests we'll likely call this lad JDC. I just can't imagine someone with two surnames being strong enough in the tackle and having the concentration required for ninety minutes.

    Rory FORFUCKSAKE-Fallon?

Checking penalties & red cards - fine.

But offsides at goals, that needs to be speeded up. I don't understand how it took around two minutes to decide on Miovski's goal.

20 seconds for YTS boy in the control room to look up from his phone, 10 seconds for his brain to click into gear, 20 seconds to take a swig of coffee and a bite of his sandwich, 10 seconds to actually look at the goal, another 10 seconds to put his glasses on, 10 seconds to look at it again, 20seconds while he discusses it with his neighbour, 15 seconds 'just because', 5 seconds to actually say 'sorry we have to give it to them'
