What's everyone's views on the club World Cup? Gonna be watching it? Think it's going to be shite? Think there's a future in it? Hope it crashes and burns?

I don't think there's an clamour from fans to proclaim a world champion. I think PSG fans are happy enough to say they're the best in France & Europe, and proving they're better than some Brazilian team won't bother them.

The World Cup is special because everyone can qualify for it. This is just another competition Aberdeen can forget about ever being in.

And it's not the best 32 club teams in the world. It's not even the best European teams going.

Hope, just for Infantino, it's a disaster.

Confederations cup was fine as 'the test' for the world cup venues.Ā

This is pointless and I really hope it is a one off.

My favourite memory of the confederations cupĀ

M.A.S.H. didn't have a laughter track when it was shown in the U.K., but it does in the U.S and here in Australia. It's a much better watch without the laughter track.

    Ā

Just saw this on WikiĀ  'The laugh track is also omitted from some international and syndicated airings of the show. On one occasion during an airing onĀ BBC2Ā in the UK, the laugh track was accidentally left on, and viewers expressed their displeasure; an apology from the network for the "technical difficulty" was later released, for during its original run on BBC2 in the UK, it had been shown without the laugh track. UK DVD critics speak poorly of the laugh track, stating "canned laughter is intrusive at the best of times, but with a programme likeĀ M*A*S*H, it's downright unbearable."[20]

I believe the laugh track was never used during the surgery scenes (no matter where is was shown).

Still the best box set I ever bought.

Think there's only 4 cast members still alive now

  3. Think this is going to be a similar story each season.

One of the usual champions league teams will have a bad season, end up in the conference league and steam roller their way to the trophy. Before the final they will have already qualified for the following years champs thereby making the europa league place prize irrelevant and the cash wont even cover a weeks wages for their squad.

The idea this would be the tournament for 'the smaller teams' out the window.

  4. Should add spurs and man utd each got 7m for reaching the final. Spurs got an extra 6m for winning (plus next seasons champs league group cash)

Chelsea and Betis will get 4m each with the winner getting an extra 3m

Inter Milan and PSG each get 18.5m with the winner getting an additional 6.5m

Those sums are fuck all to most if not all those clubs whereas to the likes of Bodo/ Glimt and Djurgaden it could have been club changing

  5. This/ last season teams in conference were given €3.17 for reaching the group/league.

    Win a game €400k

    Draw €133k

    Europa league clubs got €4.31

    Win a game €450k

    Draw £150k

In contrast champions league group stage teams got €18.62

    Win €2.1mil

    Draw £700k

I'm actually the Aberdeen fan in this that Big Dunc is bantering away with.Ā

He's actually a lovely bloke. The full interview - when it gets published on Iplayer - will be a fascinating listen.Ā

Hope another club give him a chance in management. Forest Green and Inverness CT were both uphill battles that a somewhat rookie manager (I'd still class him as that) shouldn't have taken on, and he pretty much admitted that.Ā

Would be nice! Illegal to catch them, kill them, or feed them i believe. Basically you have to wait until they eat your dog or kid before you can approach them. We asked for someone to take it away since it’s close to my house and I have a pool. Don’t want my kids jumping in to find him at the bottom! They won’t do anything until it ā€˜threatens’ us.

    Gatorland no longer selling 'Gatorbites'?

Or were they actually chicken nuggets and 1980s Florida allowed them to be 'creative' in their marketing?

It wasn't the big game of the day though, let's be honest here.

Hardly anyone was at the game, hardly anyone would watch it on TV, and hardly anyone would listen to it on the radio.

If you're claiming you turned on the radio as a neutral desperate to listen to it, I don't believe you. You wanted to know how Hibs were getting on in the battle for third, and the BBC provided you with that service.

  9. I fear County are on a slump which might result in them going down either way.

They go to Dens on Wednesday needing a win (or at least a draw) to keep things in 'their own hands
A saints win at Tynecastle along with a County win at Dens means relegation situation goes to the final day.

Shame Hearts have finally remembered shankland is a striker

Website is a fucking shambles. Should've had access earlier but wasn't showing available to buy despite having the required points. Then allowed in at five and fuck all works.Ā

Ticket office also shut. Amazing service.

Just let me in with no issues.

Go to Afc.co.uk direct (leave out the /tickets) and follow the link on the home page
