  1. I can’t remember Kennedy ever playing any other position apart from right back
  2. Don’t think he got booked for that one where he dived in and missed both man and ball. Was his booking not for the foul when he wrapped his arms around an opponent on the half way line to stop him getting away ? Which I thought was pretty needless as we had other defenders covering at that point. For the most part , though , I thought Taylor and McKenna were OK
  3. That’s some talent you’ve got. An ability to make wild assumptions about a poster on the basis of a few comments. And all of them wrong.
  4. Hell hath no fury like Rocket Scientists after he’s been shown up as a bullshitter
  5. Wouldn’t say I love McInnes. Just think he’s done a good job for us. Doubt if you can be shown to be either right or wrong about him when you’ve flip-flopped between gushing praise and bitter criticism
  6. Disingenuous. That’s probably as good a word as any to describe your post about McInnes. The one where you claimed you knew he was shit from day one. Which was of course more than half a decade ago, so in order to demonstrate your disingenuity it was necessary to remind you what you said back then. No twisting of words on my part. Just direct quotes from your own posts.
  7. Do I have to pay for this amateur psycho-analysis ? .....or is it on the house ? Nothing was taken out of context. I’ve just reminded you of some things you actually said which give the lie to some of your recent comments. You know , where you tried to give the impression that you were one of the select few who knew from day one that McInnes (or “Deek” as you liked to call him in your more gushing moments) would be shit from day one. Here’s another link for you , as demanded.... See post 401 www.afc-chat.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=35657&page=14 How d’ya like them apples , rocket man ?
  8. My point ?…I already told you. To show you up as a bullshitter. What bit of that was so hard to grasp for an intellectual giant such as yourself ? McInnes has on the whole been good for AFC, in my opinion. But the very expensive (for us) player recruitment on his watch in recent years which has been mostly nowhere near good enough is threatening to undo his previous good work. I don’t know how retarded Milne is , but I disagree with you that his interview on Sportsound was good. Unless his aim was to rile most of the fanbase. He just isn’t a genuine fan and doesn’t “get” it. No genuine Dons fan could possibly want either of the Old Scum to be successful in Europe , and get millions more pounds to widen the already huge financial gulf even more. And even if McInnes comes from a Hun background and upbringing , why the fuck would Milne refer to him as a Rangers man while he’s still our manager ? Maybe he is retarded , but more likely it just doesn’t enter into his mind that saying that Won’t go down well with most supporters.
  9. Seeing as you’ve asked nicely........ Post no. 12 in this link www.afc-chat.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=36198 “Those were not my words”
  10. I’d imagine you spent labour as long doing that post than I did looking for some old posts on AFC Chat, but that’s by the bye. Of course we can all change our mind about anything, but your ego wouldn’t allow you to make any such admission in relation to McInnes. And I quite enjoy seeing a self-aggrandising blowhard being shown up as a bullshitter.
  11. Well, let’s see if I can jog your memory. It was the same poster who several weeks earlier after we’d won a Scottish Cup tie away to Celtic , gushed ...... “Aberdeen were fucking magnificent today. McInnes. YOU have made the whole difference. Boy’s fucking magic. McInnes is fucking magic. What an interview. What a guy” A bit more than begrudged praise after grinding out a win , wouldn’t you agree ?
  12. So who was it then that posted a few days after the League Cup praising McInnes in relation to the appointment of a sports scientist , for his professionalism and describing him as being “of a huge growth mindset” ? And in the same post describing “Derek” as a “forward thinking, ambitious young manager” and referring to his “vision , knowledge and professionalism”. And concluding that AFC now had “the right man in charge of the football department” I guess day one must have started sometime after that
  13. You’re a fuckin charlatan. Or was that a different Rocket Scientist on AFC Chat that was positively gushing in his praise of McInnes in the aftermath of winning the League Cup in 2014 ?
  14. Just because Shinnie had a nightmare for Scotland yesterday , doesn't mean he not still a very decent left-back for us , when required. As for the comments about Ball in the semi last year , he wasn't god awful. He made one costly mistake which led to the first goal. Other than that he wasn't given a roasting by his immediate opponent. The fact is that we gifted Motherwell all three goals , and they really did nothing special themselves apart from NOT gifting us anything. That was the difference betwen the teams on the day. Ball didn't contribute anything in an attacking sense , but then neither did anyone else that day , including players that we were entitled to make a greater attacking contribution than Ball.
  15. Speaking of opinions and arseholes ...
  16. Opinions and arseholes spring to mind
  17. I agree that Willie's OK as a pundit , when he's adding his thoughts to the main commentator. But he's hopeless at open-all-mikes because he hardly ever enters into the spirit of it unless there's actually a goal scored. The others'll usually shout out "Chance !!" or something like that to let the listener know there's been some sort of incident at their game. Willie doesn't. I know this because sometimes I listen to OAM while I'm at Pittodrie watching the game.
  18. I dinna mind it. As long as the reporters are getting the important information out to the listener straight away
  19. Agreed that Michael Stewart is the best of the regular pundits on BBC Scotland , whether that's on radio or TV. But he's rubbish at the Open-all-mikes. I've heard him more than once taking ages to actually clarify wheher a goal's just been scored or which team has actually scored. He's not the only one who's guilty of that. Bizarrely , the other regular pundit that I quite like more than the others is Derek Ferguson , although undoubtedly he's not the most articulate, and he's also guilty someties of taking ages to clarify which team's scored. He'll tell you which player has scored, but that often means fuck all to me, if , for instance it's a game between Hamilton and Livingston. The reason I like him though is that he is genunely enthusiastic about the less glamourous games that he's usually assigned to cover. He also went up in my opinion a few years back when he was of the only pundits who seemed genuinely outraged at the Huns getting to play a semi-final against the Jutes at Ibrox The worst of the usual Open-all-mikes crew - Willie Miller
  20. Madden had as good a view as anyone could reasonably expect. But even if he didn't , the main stand linesman had an excellent position , as he was pretty much bang in line with the edge of the box , and should have been letting the ref know what he saw. Each of them individually should have been able to make the right call. But collectively between the two of them there's no reasonable excuse for them failng to do so. I don't like labelling refs/officials as cheats , but it's hard to come to any other conclusion here
  21. The Glasgow rozzers clearly think that form of segregation’s enough for a game between the uglies at Parkhead, so I can’t see the Aberdeen rozzers taking a different view. Anyway , let’s hope Killie stuff them and we never find out !
  22. If the new Huns ask for 20% of the tickets , they'll be given the middle bit of the South Stand that the old Huns used to get, as well as the current away section. The segregation'll just take the form of a swathe of seats being left empty or covered by tarpaulin or something like that with stewards and cops between the two sets of fans. The same way as visitors' fans are kept apart from the unwashed at Parkhead and Ibrox. Same as Tynecastle and Easter Road as well. Can't see the coppers having much objection as the Huns'll be able to get access to the middle sections of the SS via the Golf Road entrance which is kept for the sole use of the away fans. And let's face it , we'll struggle to sell 16,000 tickets, let alone 18K
  23. For the most part I'd agree with that bit , but I can remember one major episode that , to me , was far worse than any of the recent events In the 1982 Scottish Cup we were drawn against St Mirren in the semis, and very shortly after the draw Muirton Park , Perth was announced as the venue. Perfectly logical seeing as Perth is pretty much half-way between Paisley and Aberdeen. If anything it was probably easier and quicker to get to Perth from Paisley than Aberdeen Lo and behold St Mirren complain about the venue , bleating that it was unfair on their fans having to travel so far for what was a rare event for them , being in the semis. So the SFA changed the venue to Parkhead. 10 miles fae Paisley , about 150 miles fae Aberdeen. I've never felt it's just an Old Firm bias we've been up against....it's always been the central belt establishment.
  24. I think there has been a bit of a siege mentality developed within the club over the last couple of years or so. Unfortunately , it's been developed by McInnes and his players against some....(and I stress , some) of the fans. I've had the feeling a few times that he's become fairly hacked off with the negativity from some fans. Seems to me that there's now very much a "them-and-us" attitude between the disgrunteld fans and the club....mostly fostered by the disgruntled fans, in my opinion. And this has spread into the rapport between the team and the fans.
  25. If our players need to be motivated by the manager for this game against the Huns , we're fucked before the kick-off. And McInnes is intelligent enough to know not to waste any time on a game that took place 18 years ago , that just about none of our squad will give a fuck about , to motivate them. I hope he uses his time trying to organise the team to compete with and outplay the Huns.
