Roddick was always criticised, same aspect as you have said of Anderson, int hat all he had was a serve, but he broke serves all the time & although he only won 1 major, he was so close to a good few more, but his heart was clearly not in it in the latter stage of his career, he was losing easily against much lesser and totally unknown players, so he was probably right to retire. Anderson has a strong serve, but he's also capable of slugging out good rallies with the best, it's when he has to go to the net or try lob etc... that he really struggles. Del Potro is another, been very unfortunate with injuries, but I reckon he could have been up there with Nadal/Djokovic/Murray etc... had he stayed fit.

I felt a sense of " Gutted " when I saw it SeeBass, of course anything can happen over 2 legs, especially if we keep a clean sheet at home, gives us a superb chance, but Dyche is in many ways like McInnes, usually well drilled & never under-estimates an opponent. I really dislike being this negative, it defeats the purpose, but can't deny it's a very, very tough ask, over both legs. -
Quite a significant change to what I normally like, but quite liked this, as well as the rest of the soundtrack for a film called " Drive " added it all to my Playlist.

Used to love watching the old Tennis, was a massive Andy Roddick fan, must admit that I have barely watched it since his retirement. When I have though, big Kevin Anderson has impressed me, I just like old fashioned sluggers, although I accept Tennis is far more technical now. I know he's done lots of positive stuff outside of Tennis, but one guy I cannot stomach, is Roger Federer, not denying that he's a superb, world class player, even now, but he always came across as an absolute bell-end and pretty disrespectful to opponents, especially when they ran him close, he had a sly dig at them.

Really shite draw that. Ideal for fans etc... I get that, but the end game is surely the Group Stages? Can't see anything other than a comfortable 2 leg win for Burnley. We do have the whole " Might catch them cold " given that we will be ahead of them pre-season wise ( I Think ) but I actually think Dyche is a very astute man, and what he's done there is quite impressive, they have better players than us & are fitter than us, the gulf will be too much, unless they don't take us seriously of course. They are notoriously difficult to break down as well. But we can take solace from the fact we've beaten Groningen & Rijeka, 2 extremely difficult fixtures themselves & we actually played not too bad at home to Sociedad, so there is of course the possibility, just think they'll be too well prepared, it's what Dyche is good at. -
I'd have no real issues with Tansey staying, as long as he wasn't a key part of the 11, as a squad player, no problem. I agree that he wasn't, or at least didn't, seem as bad as he has been for us, and I can genuinely only remember him in one game, the drubbing at Ibrokes in where he gave away a ridiculous penalty, added to that, McInnes has said in the meeting with fans etc... that he showed no desire to stay and fight for a place, wanted to go back to his comfort zone? That alone merits being shown the door. However, if he's since bucked his ideas up & is willing to train hard and improve his attitude, then by all means, hang around.

Welcome aboard Stephen Gleeson. Good experienced player with decent pedigree. I have a sneaky suspicion that Greg Tansey is going to be staying, meaning there won't be any further midfield additions Gleeson, Forrester, Ferguson, Tansey & of course Shinnie. That's the central area covered. Just my suspicion, of course I could be wrong.

Aye min, can honestly say that it's pretty much the same here. Just turns into a right arsehole for no reason whatsoever. But in 13 years, the only real arguments or fights have came from that time of the month, bizarre.
-
Tories, and the cunts that vote for them. My other half when it's that time of the month, seriously, I really want to punch her in the fucking throat. Louie Spence

Danny Philliskirk won't be joining, couldn't convince his wife to relocate apparently. Also, notice it's went abruptly quiet on Gleeson? Seemed like it was imminent, nothing mentioned since. Still plenty of time of course, and a better route to go down than Tansey's etc.. Hope we can get that one over the line. Also, can anyone tell me regarding Lewis Ferguson & the compensation issue, is the player 100% ours now, even though nothing has been resolved regarding compensation, can he still technically go back to Hamilton as was before our pre-contract?
-
Has played just under 290 times for MK Dons & Birmingham in the last 9 years, scoring 22 goals. Has 4 senior ROI Caps with 1 goal. Can honestly say I have never seen him play, but that's decent game time at 2 reasonably decent sides. If he comes, as with Forrester, he will get my backing.

Alan Stubbs says coaching in the Premiership has extra appeal because the profile of the league has been "taken to another level". Stubbs, 46, has taken over at newly-promoted St Mirren, replacing Jack Ross after he left for Sunderland. He will pit his wits against Celtic's Brendan Rodgers, Hibs' Neil Lennon, Steven Gerrard at Rangers, Steve Clarke at Kilmarnock and Hearts' Craig Levein. I have to say, I am surprised to see Lennon, Gerrard & Levein mentioned in the same breath as Rodgers & Clarke, who are I suppose bigger names in management, I stress in management because Gerrard is a bigger name, but in no way a proven manager, and I guess I took a slight offence to it as well as there's no mention of McInnes, who has spent next to fuck all and made us the 2nd best team in Scotland for several years now. Ach, maybe I have my snowflake pants on today, fuck it.
-
Hearts sign Ryan Edwards on a Free Transfer, that's a bizarre one, any time I have seen him, he's looked anything but a footballer. Doesn't make sense, even for Levein. Thought the boy was literally horrendous.

Interestingly, I always thought McLean played as an attacking central midfielder for St Mirren, not the deep lying sitting midfielder role in where McInnes played him, and if you look at every comment from Peterborough fans regarding Forrester, they all say the very same, that he's an attacking central midfielder and not a deep lying one, and they attribute that to his eventual decline there. I got the impression from his interview that he's been told he'll be playing the deep lying role but he later said he personally prefers playing behind the Striker, suppose that'll depend on whether we get McGeough or not. Interestingly again, I see the balloon that is Steve Evans has said Forrester is the only player he may regret selling out of all of the players he made available for transfer.... “I’ve managed teams for over 900 times in my career and I cannot think of one player who has gone on to haunt me after I’ve let him go. “I’ve sold players who have gone on to do well at higher levels, but I’ve never regretted putting anyone on the transfer list. “Chris Forrester could be the first. I had to think long and hard before making him available, but I feel it’s the right decision for both parties. I wouldn’t be surprised if he rediscovered his best form, but I will be in a hurry next season. I can’t afford to wait for anyone. Just watched his interview on Redtv, McInnes has said to him that he sees him as a key player going forward and that he sees him as the main passer of the ball. Would pretty much confirm that he's McLean's direct replacement. Paid a fee, gave him a three year contract and he has a decent enough goals reel ( Check them all on Youtube ) I have a good feeling about him. Welcome aboard Chris.
-
Apparently Chris Forrester is having, or has had, a medical today & all going well, he will be announced when the transfer window opens.

I have seven in total, don't regret any of them. They have personal meaning to me, some are like a family tree type, when my daughter was born it changed me completely, used to be a cunt, and a trouble making one at that, but it all changed when I had responsibility, so I had an impulse to get a tattoo. Also, I was pretty young so if I ever do regret them years down the line, that'll be my excuse!

Really pleased for Shinnie & McKenna, and obviously what an achievement for young Scott McKenna to captain his country, incredible. Certainly a more attack minded line up, but still think Mexico will run out comfortable winners, for various reasons, but I don't think the future of the National team is as bad as people make it out to be, plus there's still a good few players that pulled out mind. Certainly can't be worse than the same continued duds who continually flopped.
-
Completely agree with you regarding the highlighted in bold statement. I honestly believe with 2 or 3 really good additions, we can finish closer to 9 points than Celtic & maintain our advantage ( over the course of a season even, as certainly not in head to head's ) over the huns. A trio of Michael Hector/ Danny Ward type of signing, but on a permanent transfer & suitable positions of course. Joe Lewis was a great find, Scott McKenna is taking everything in his stride, I liked Mikey Devlin when he was at Hamilton, so fingers crossed he stays injury free and reproduces those performances, not entirely sure we will see much of young Ferguson, maybe we will, so really, we're only another really good winger, Striker and central midfielders away from being even more competitive ( assuming we can put Shinnie Left Back )
-
Am I only one that actually thought there was a player in O'Connor? Anyway, regarding Forrester, of course he'll get my backing, my slight concern would be that we are paying a fee for him, are there no free transfers available in a similar position who played as many games in League 1, even the Championship, that we could attract? Or are we paying the fee because McInnes really thinks he could do a job? Who knows, suppose we will find out if he does indeed sign.

Sun ( Cunts ) have published this little over an hour ago. Expect to sign Forrester but have ended interest in Baldwin. I suppose the midfield is a key area rather than defence at the moment ( Left Back excluded ) https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2720452/aberdeen-chris-forrester-jack-baldwin-derek-mcinnes/

It made sense ( to a degree ) at the time when we signed May, we all saw that Rooney was missing Hayes/McGinn and was offering a lot less than he usually does. I definitely think that May's lack of games and his injuries, especially the seriousness of them, have had quite a major impact on his performances. Perhaps with a full pre-season under him, with our medical/fitness team will benefit him hugely. Rooney won't be happy playing second fiddle, I have zero doubt about that I also have zero doubt that there would be many a club swoop for him should he be allowed to leave, and given that McInnes has publicly said that he will look to bring another striker in, that technically means Rooney would be 3rd choice, May got the nod over him countless times, and as the season came to an end, so did Cosgrove. So I am certain he will be away. Thon Danny Philliskirk doesn't fill me with confidence, I think he's scored a career total of 40 goals, I know that it's just a rumour with him and he's not even specifically a striker, but I'd much rather keep Rooney if that's the aim for a replacement.
-
To be fair to Mackie, I'm fairly sure I remember he did relatively well, so to speak, with Brewster and then Lee Miller.
-
I think they are having a pretty big clear out, perhaps finances dictate so? Not sure, but all I know is that according to their Chairman and media, they were both highly thought of not so long ago and should have commanded a much better transfer fee. Time will tell, but if their Chairman has dropped our name in to public domain, there must be truth to this.
-
I assumed Philliskirk was to replace Christie, I looked at his stats after getting the text and he sometimes plays attacking midfielder rather than up front. In any case, and at the risk of being a negative cunt, he doesn't inspire. Never seen him play though so will reserve judgement. That's if there's any truth in it. I see Forrester & Baldwin will be allowed to leave for est £100k-200k now, would imagine that's more in our price range, especially given the funds raised from AberDNA.
