Two very good goals but they still look dangerous on the counter. We’re a little overly aggressive in attack at times and leave holes. A little fortunate on the rangers goal too. Hard to highlight anyone in particular, all players are up for it. Gueye still not quick enough moving the ball but the goal has to help his confidence. Shady proving people like me that he can start. third is a must and we could go on to hammer them. 2-1 it gets nervy.

Would love to see us target some Scottish talent this summer. It’s been said before but I am one who really values a Scottish core. Shinnie is getting on, Delvin appears to be out of favor, and Mackenzie may move on. Nisbet may not be back, so we may not have a single Scottish regular starting player. Other than jack milne, do we really have youngsters good enough for first team minutes? Bavidge? Boyd? Obviously Lennon miller is out of our price range. I don’t see any non don Scottish football, red tv is the only Scottish coverage I watch, who is a realistic target? Wales at killie was talked about earlier in the season, didn’t they have another decent youngster? starting to wonder if Greg Taylor is actually possible (euro football and exposure to the national team, especially with Robertson aging and tierney fragile). Anyone rate Glenn Middleton? i’m definitely losing interest in all football except Scotland and Aberdeen, money is killing the game and enjoyment for me. Certainly fear we become a foreign filled team.

Ffs morris should never start! Good on shady, inconsistent, but a good player to have. Nice goal. Gueye been poor again, would like to see topi at 10 and bring on okkels.

Means little but I’d love to see a 16 team league playing each other twice, two relegated and 3rd bottom in a playoff. It’s so stale playing the same teams x number of times a year. I don’t like the product. 30 league games allows for an autumn league cup as we have, I like the format, plus it means the league is not as congested. We play way too much with cups, Europe, internationals etc. quantity over quality at present. also means little, but if we care about the future of Scottish football a 16 team league allows for the odd game to play some youth, not totally meaningless games. would also like to see the old firm gtf and play elsewhere. Nobody else has the money, fan base, and global appeal that I think ridding ourselves of the ugly sisters would help our league. Would be much more open and interesting.

He was physical and aggressive and the Motherwell players did their best to get him sent off. The whole team were more aggressive in the first half in particular and it got to the point I thought his next foul would be a red. And to be fair, his scissors tackle could have been red. At the same time, what’s the alternative? Nobody stands out and nobody is consistent, plus as mentioned, he’s decent in the air which is a factor against county. He also plays the 10 and fills that space reasonably well, we don’t really have another attack minded player for that role. Gueye is much like duk, could be crap, could be a game changer. 2-1 us, gueye and nisbet.

He’s not be coming here to be shinnie’s back up. Not sure shinnie has a full season of attacking left back in him. Thought about Greg Taylor too, a bit like when mcginn came to us perhaps. Wouldn’t rule it out but I suspect he’ll go south for more money.

I’ll add this re Clarkson, thought he did a good job driving forward, didn’t just settle for square balls and worldie long passes. Really did drop to pick up the ball as sivert does, but was also an excellent attacking threat, got his goal and involved in the third. Think Clarkson and palaversa may be our best central midfield combo. okkels is a little like Morris in a way, shows glimpses of good play but not nearly consistent enough. Morris has been more consistent of late but neither are the type of player you pay good money for. Just don’t see okkels being bought when there will be other out of contract options. Topi is young but I think it’s fair to say he gets involved in every game, need the same on the other side which okkels did yesterday to be fair. I’d like to see a left winger with more pace who can get down the line, that’s not okkels as far as we see.

I’m thinking they’d expect 1-1.5m, maybe we use the okkels funds. Im not a big nisbet fan but for every miovski there’s an Ambrose, Sokler is a squad player, as is dabbagh by the looks of things. Nisbet can produce for us.

So what’s nisbet worth and can we afford/are we buying him? Finally fit and settled, plus build a team to play to his strengths?

Even then he was bang average. Not a bad free transfer squad player but certainly kit one we’d pay a fee for.

Besides a shit goal conceded, a very good performance today. Plenty of good individuals too, think the combo of Clarkson and palaversa in the middle a big plus.

Don’t like this sub, hope to be proven wrong. Gueye has done a good job in the 10 space, hope we don’t now have a hole ahead of palaversa and Clarkson and sokler and nisbet together high. Ends up too much long ball.

I’d yank gueye and play topi at 10, morris wide. like that we are lively and physical but too many fouls and a bit reckless. Don’t finish with 11 if the second half is the same.
