  1. Success to me is an era of being the best side in your competitions, though thats probably been concluded because I was brought up in the glory days. But,if youve been brought up anytime after the WM era when Celtic and Rangers have been mostly uncatchable, success probably now means a time when we got the most out of the resources at our disposal compared to other recent eras, and this era is as close as weve got to that in the last 20 years,(though we can argue we could get more out of what weve got.) Personally i'm not unhappy with the comparatively successful era we're in,am enjoying going to Pittodrie, and the standard of player we're watching.Think were at a stage where one or 2 signings soon, could be enough to boost the confidence/step us up a level,or, where our rivals progress quicker than our ability to progress
  2. couple of random bottles off the shelf on the way home fae the fitba - Brooklyn lager.A reasonable not too memorable 6/10
  3. ....And Aberdeen quine Rachel Corsie
  4. Good to get through to the QF,though we contrived to turn a potential Jute humiliation into something a bit more awkward, not helped by O'Connors honking distribution from defence That aside, some good performances from Christie,McGinn and McLean ,...McKenna was solid once again, and the team as a whole pressed well.Rooney did so so,but think May will give us more options when fit.Even Stewart might be worth a run up front.Cant really see a huge difference in Woodman over Rogers tbh,but there you go. As said, think a sub or 2 at 4-1 to get Chidi on,or a youngster maybe. Job done but jings that was a cold walk back to the car. Not the worst draw though for the next round.A toughie but winnable tie. 5. Think we were linked with him at some stage. Sorry for the boys family. No age...
  6. In for this.Hope the home fans arent assuming we'll get through to the next round and turn up for this one Should be too strong for them despite being a cup tie. 3 - 0 Dons McGinn,Christie,Gms
  7. Pre the Sunderland job offer,I thought McInnes was on around £300k,and was expected to roughly treble his wages if he went to Wearside. If all these figures are accurate,£750k seems a bit mental to be paying in our league.Fair play to Del for working the job offers though
  8. Didnt set the heather on fire, but still won by 3 goals. Not a lot more to add to whats already been said.Curious to see what May could add to the attack in place of Rooney, who i thought toiled a bit getting into the game.Though he might have done more if supplied with different service to what he got,eg a few low balls across the goals rather than the aerial route. Might be a few hidings handed out if we can get fully into gear.Kenny McLean was at the heart of a lot of things, and praise too for McGinn,Consi and McKenna.Woodman looked ok,no world beater, seems harsh on Rogers but up to Deek.
  9. I'll get it this week In or oot - In Furryboots - Mainer Pre/Post - Driving Prediction - 4 - 0 Rooney x4 Hopeful team Woodman Logan Arnason McKenna Shinnie Chidi McLean McGinn Christie GMS Rooney

  18. The Bus Stop?
  19. Totally agree, and with Christie in there too, been years since we had such a potentially dynamite forward line. Jury seems to be out on Ball. Are we judging him after a game and a half?.Should allow for him maybe trying too hard,or being off the pace.A run of games might do him good.If it means getting Shinnie at L/B,and not having to watch O'Connor in there, surely outweighs the negatives? Come away ye Reds
  20. Also thought Ball was decent on Saturday.Would like him to start alongside Maclean, with Shinnie at L/B.Rooney worked hard on Saturday but to little effect.Stewart provide a bit more guile in his place? 1 - 0 Dons - GMS
  21. ^^^No need to wet the bed yet,its only a rumour. Hope we can squeeze in a decent midfielder before the window closes
  22. Not totally sold on the idea, but kinda glad a line's been drawn under it all(for now at least). Got our work cut out to make it a success, but lets hud g'an...
