  7. Sounds like Derby are trying to get 37 y/o Ashley Cole in,presume because they dont see Lowe as ready enough for the first team. Delighted if this is true......
  8. Oot - Up North this w/e Also fairly confident of a Stevie May goal fest. 6 - 1 Dons, May x4,Cozo and McGinn

  11. As you do when down at the local shop I had a sneaky scan at the EE while waiting in the queue(and because the boy in front decides to ask for about 19 scratch cards at the last minute ). Mcinnes saying he's hopeful GMS will stay til at least the end of the season, despite the NY interest. And Hoban hoping to be available for the Stenny game

    Soup

Since this thread is up,made a soup starter for Xmas day - Butternut squash, sweet potato and ginger soup 2 x medium Butternut squash, skinned and chopped 2 x large sweet potato, peeled and chopped 3 x red onion, peeled and chopped 1 peeled stem of ginger teaspoon of Turmeric teaspoon of Cumin 2 cubes of chicken stock in about a pint of hot water coconut milk Heat/fry the onions in the soup pan with butter til soft.Add the veg and chicken stock.Heat for around 30 mins til soft.Add Turmeric and Cumin, and blend.Taste, and add coconut milk and/or water according to how sweet you want it and for thickness of soup This was supposed to do 6 on Xmas day,but also did 11 on boxing day
  15. Nae probs min.The fort on Tap o Noth has an information board at the foot of the hill, but nothing at Barmekin. Some good info here https://canmore.org.uk/site/18522/barmekin-of-echt Managed up 11 munros over the festive season in between family visits.Couple of very good days... Couple of atmospheric ones A fair few drizzle and fog days 160 done,122 to go Race against time before the legs buckle up
  16. Out for this one but Stevie to continue his goal frenzy with a hat trick. COYR
  17. Would prefer a pacier attack with McInnes' tactics yesterday, moving the ball about and thru teams like Celtic quicker, though our options in that department are limited with Wright not cutting it,and MacLennan hot and cold. worth looking at when injuries lessen
  18. A cracking day on the 2 Easain Munros near Laggan on Xmas eve. A couple of smaller Deeside hills for anyone bored,or to walk off some post Tim frustration. Both with less ascent than Bennachie, good views over to Lochnagar. No snow at that level Auchtavan,Aberarder - http://www.auchtavan.com/home/plan-your-visit/ Pressendye,Tarland - https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/aberdeenshire/pressendye.shtml
  19. Agree with most of that, except Shinnie out of the midfielders we have is about as good as weve got,...doesnt say a lot for the others. MacLennan at the Hearts game I thought was maybe subdued by their physicality, but today,I also came to the conclusion he,and Wright are a bit lazy,or picky in the games they turn it on in. Our efforts to contain meant our attack was more hope than conviction
  20. We were workmanlike but carried little threat, just working off Celtic' scraps. Still had a chance of sneaking something from the game if Mcginn had stayed on but never got Mclennan or Wright involved enough.
  21. Campbell didnt get enough of the ball to judge.MacLennan was out of sorts, whether it was Hearts physicality or just not up enough for it generally.Need him in the mood on Boxing day
  22. Just back - Always nice to beat that shower, and we did so without being on top form.Game started off like a typical Hearts game, ....physical with the ball up in the air more often than not,so it was a bit of a relief when Sam opened the scoring with a very well placed header and they were forced to try and play fitba. To be fair they knocked the ball about quite well but carried little goal threat.Us on the other hand,I think we could have added to our tally if we'd moved the ball quickly on the deck more up front when they seemed to be winning the aerial battle. Mcginn,McKenna,Logan and Cosgrove all good.McLennan seems to have a good game then a bad game,so hope he turns it on v Celtic, cos he was poor today. Good win though, COYR
  23. Memories for me are the noise walking down Merkland before the game, and afterwards, the residents on Merkland rd ie students,Poles etc outside their flats applauding us up the street
  24. Great night. Pity so many of the youtube clips are not the best quality
