  1. A good win, scoreline as anticipated ,but dont think anyone anticipated the goalscorers. Not a huge fan of Cosgrove but if that helps bring him out his shell.... Like the look of McLennan.Strong and direct.nae sure the extent of his injury but a wee concern since he's had a couple injuries already. Defence was solid,Lowe was good,as were Shinnie and Ferguson. Look forward to seeing what we can do with an on form, fully fit squad
  2. Also not ruling May out yet.See what he does in a 2 upfront.Becoming a pain not seeing our strongest line up get a run of games, but should have too much for Smurn Lewis Logan Devlin Considnie Lowe McGinn Fergie Shinnie GMS May Wilson Sticking with an optimistic 4 -1 . ps ,impressive moving thingy from KITNS
  3. Have never understood how fans of the clubs Steve Bruce has managed, are able to build up any affinity with him, when he's jumped from one similar sized club to another, often in the same league. "Yes,City/Utd/Villa/Rovers/Town are the club Ive always wanted to manage etc"
  4. Heard this the other day also on the radio.Memories of playing it to death on the Lido juker in Elgin(one for big Al ) Still sounds good 40 years later
  5. Quite looking forward to this one, some decent signs at Parkhead.Wilson seems to bring more to the table, and in turn may tease more out of GMS,McGinn etc. A bit more optimistic than of late.... 4 - 1 Dons Wilson,GMS x2,Anderson (late sub)
  6. Managed to watch the second half on a stream in Aviemore(due to turning back from a hill).Created a surprising amount of chances,(or more then usual at Parkhead),whilst at the same time being quite wasteful with the ball in our buildup at times. An improvement though, and the defence stabilising might give more confidence furhter up the park.Wilson looks good, and hopefully brings more out of May,or Anderson if as most of us want,we stay with a front 2.
  7. Put me in the slightly embarrassed to be in the Semis category
  8. Anderson with the winner....
  9. Cosgrove coming off, May on....
  10. Dom Ball off the bar Sounds pretty even so far,Hibs looking a bit more dangerous
  11. Aberdeen: Lewis, Logan, Devlin, McKenna, Considine, Lowe, Ball, Shinnie, Mackay-Steven, Cosgrove, Wilson. Substitutes: Cerny, Forrester, Gleeson, McGinn, May, Campbell, Anderson.
  12. Looks a bit like Geddy Lee(Rush). Think she's got potential, but doesnt suit that style of music(Minis clip),and to be fair the sound quality is pretty poor/tinny
  13. Not unreasonable.Am a fan of Dels, but hate his game management with 44 mins to go style No idea what to expect tomorrow though.Defence pretty solid. One of those games where we could sneak a win 0 - 2 GMS,McGinn COYR
  14. Too early to rule anyone out yet, even Stevie May(hasnt been tried enough in a front 2),.....or Forrester for that matter til we get the semblance of our strongest squad playing over a number of games Gleeson and Forrester looked reasonable additions at the time, but look like they could be the weak link in the side.Think they both need a manager that can get into their heads, which I think is one of Del's weaker areas of management IMO. Maybe need to source someone more authoritative in January for midfield
  15. Hints of winter at Pittodrie on Saturday, and confirmation on A'Chralaig on Sunday.White stuff is back, earlier than last year
  16. Nae sure about Mattiels orange breeks/boots combo.Did her budgie die? 'Jam in the Van' is a good wee site for unheard of new bands Bit of funk with Pims of Joytime Turquaz
  17. DM must go calls are a bit OTT. This isnt to defend DM but according to the stats,we had 17 chances yesterday,to St J's 4,with us having 7 shots on target and them having 3. I'm guessing most of those chances came after we went a goal down, played with a bit more urgency and with 2 up front? Certainly sounded like it on the radio.Food for thought
  18. Thought i'd done well getting onto the St J slip road at 2.15,after leaving ABZ at 12.45.Was still in traffic after kick off when the polis stopped traffic going towards McDiarmid and diverted us towards the town centre. GTF I thought, and headed home According to the radio, sounded quite an open game, and we were at our more effective when we went 4-4-2?pressing high up the pitch? Pity we didnt start like that. Dont know if we took our foot off the peddle after the goal to settle for a draw,...hope not.More of the same might have won us the game. Sounded like May was more starved of service than total mince?,but those at the game might have seen different
  19. Still stuck in mcdiarmid traffic after arriving at 2.15.Hope ko delayed...
  20. The North stand at McDiarmid is closed for this game(burst water pipe I think),and folks will be moved to other stands. Says "Aberdeen fans will therefore be housed in the South stand"(which I thought was already sold out.)No word if theyll open a section of Saints end for ticketless Dons like myself http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/revised-arrangements-ormond-stand-users
  21. Find KT Tunstall a hard woman to like, but cant deny she can craft a good song, and think she's penned a cracker here
  22. What sort of odds do you get for predicting no goal scorer when we score nil? That traffic thing could scupper my going.Have to ask Perth biding bro in-law how bad it is before setting off
  23. Dont know much about Tom Crotty, but heres an interview - EDIT, last years investment
