  1. In Section Y Prediction - 2 - 2 Duk, Miovski
  2. Avoid Riverside drive at Duthie park(Polis) ... otherwise,it's Warnos reds,(bah'me ah'me) I can sense tlg slowly warming to the great man COYR
  3. Scottish cup ties against so called minnows are no marker for progress,so this game cd be interesting in terms of attitude or ideas. Wells form has been a bit hot and cold recently, hard to know what to expect,but... In Mainer Prediction - 2 - 1 Don's. Miovski, McGrath
  4. Well taken goals fae Bojan, some of the fringe players not showing enough to merit a regular start though, and showing how light and imbalanced our squad is.A cup wins a win like.A look back at some McInnes results early rounds .1 - 0 win at home v Dumbarton(2019),a 1 - 1 draw at home v Stenny(2018),nuff said Interesting to see how we shape up v a known quantity,Motherwell on Wednesday Aberdeen interim manager Neil Warnock tells BBC Scotland: "I thought the fans were super. It was a cold day but, as I said to the lads, these kind of cup games you’ve just got to get through and into the hat. "It's a clean sheet and I’ve had a look at some lads I have not seen much of since I’ve been here. There were some hair-raising moments but, overall, I was quite pleased with it. "I knew we could get Bojan [Miovski] in some good positions and he took his goals well again – he worked his socks off, as did Shayden [Morris]. Little bit stretched in midfield. "At the back, they kept a clean sheet, and the young goalie [Ross Doohan] did well as well. It was a good day."
  5. What crowd would we normally get for a game like this? 7/8000? If my calculations are correct, and with STs not valid,it looks like less than 5000 tickets left for sale? That canna be right, .....someone else want to hae a gander? Saying that,my n'bour who hasnt been to Pittodrie for a few years is heading along,..and coming with me to the 'Well game in midweek,so who knows?? Oot - working up North Prediction 0 - 3 Bonnyrigg
  6. Thought we were pretty poor, but Warnock saw some positives..... Aberdeen manager Neil Warnock tells BBC Scotland: "I thought the application was excellent. To go a goal down early on, a lot of teams might have crumbled but I thought we hung in there. I thought we grew into the game, to get the goal like we did was a real plus. I felt we were rushing a bit, playing the occasion and not calming down but I thought we did that as the game moved on. "I have been in the game a long time but we didn't really know what to expect having only seen the players for a couple of days. They have answered all the questions. It is my kind of club, the fans were fabulous and the players have given me everything. I am looking forward to the challenge. "They are all putting a shift in now. some of the lads who have got away with one in the last 12 months are having to work a little bit harder now. "I think we can give any team a game. We have played the top three three times now let's try and make sure we play them again. "The lads have set the standard tonight and I think they can raise that. I am pleased with everything they have done tonight. We are disappointed because I think we were close to an equaliser." On Bojan Miovski: "I think he will get 30 before the end of the season. I think they will be queuing up for him. He works harder than people think which is unusual for a striker. On Scottish football: "It is a breath of fresh air, you can't put that desire into people and that was in there. "I don't think I have ever seen a referee in England go to the screen and stick with his decision, what a good thing to do. I thought he had a good game tonight. "The fans got really behind us. As a supporter you can't ask any more if the lads give everything. I was pleased and I think the fans will be.
  7. They've had a lot of the ball but not that many chances. Not that we've done much to deserve being level. Can't be as crap second half, hopefully a Celtic type next 45 mins. COYR
  8. Wasnt aware of Peter Leven before Saturday if I'm honest, but he showed more managerial clout than weve seen most of the season. So along with Warnocks limited input, fairly confident we'll work out a good way to play this game. Not overly confident of a win,but of a decent showing at the least Oot Prediction 2 - 2 Miovski brace
  9. Nae sure if youre being tongue in cheek, but pretty sure he was. Much as I wanted Barry to succeed, listening to that Warnock interview was a breath of fresh air in comparison.Confident,no waffle, and a bit of fun,....why not just roll with it while it lasts....
  10. A break from the usual Scottish merry go round for a few months would be welcome IMO. Agree with Orlando above.I like Cormack too, still relatively green in football Chairmanship terms.Making mistakes, but not afraid to try,so the stick he gets is a bit OTT,he's about as good as we can ask for compared to folk that currently or want to run a club Neil is my current choice, not sure he's interested though. One of those Scandinavians if not...Knutsen,Thelin etc
  11. Am not averse to the idea now.Might get a laugh for a few months,...he might help sort out upstairs while hes at it.As long as we're stll looking or have someone in mind for next season
  12. Had forgotten it was an early kick off,so was pleasantly surprised to see the full time result at work.Beeb described the second half as fantastic. Some finish fae Bojan
  13. We did try a coupla defenders (Pollock and Kerr),and a couple of other positions, but fell through for whatever reason.Just glad we didnt lose any of the key players.Surprised we turned down the Barron bid,...just have to see what difference a new guy makes with this squad
  14. Bids for Duk(1.75m apparently),and Barron(£500k) have been rejected.Looks like no ins or outs,unless.....
  15. Who knows, maybe the players will have a chat/know better on how they should line up. Unfortunately Duk and Barron could potentially be away tonight so not holding out much hope result wise Oot Working up North Prediction - 0 - 3
  16. Wingers are like hens teeth these days are they not.If none are available,as long as you have guys on the sides that are attack minded and at least have some pace, and learn or are coached how to use /make space and where to make runs/anticipate others etc.Possibly gives you more variety(or less predictability) in attack? Hence we should maybe have persisted more with Duk on the left, and got A n other on the right
  17. Interim til the end of the season maybe
  18. Feel sorry for the boy,but it was all getting a bit silly.Thinking Agnew may have been more of a hindrance than a help tactically. Hope they've been anticipating this might happen, and sounding out replacements.Michael O'Neill a reasonable shout.Struggling for other names....
  19. Robson post match, doesnt recognise what the issues were... Aberdeen manager Barry Robson tells BBC Scotland: "We looked a bit leggy tonight. We should have been 2-0 up at half-time, without playing really well. "I'm frustrated for the players, they've put a lot into it. They're a big side, but we have to deal with that. What we can do is take our chances at the other end, but we didn't play sparklingly well but we had enough control and chances to make sure we won. "The fans were very good tonight. Some of them can voice that frustration - that's football. But they were trying to will us on at the end. "For me, the focus is on trying to win the game at the weekend. It's not about me. It's about the players, preparing them for the next game. There is no panic from me."
  20. Pretty unmemorable first half,Dundee unlucky not to score. As Tosh said, the more defensive minded we set up,the more we lose the knack of attacking. Some of Phillips energy in the second half might be worth a try. Better than expected crowd though
  21. Roos Milne MacDonald Jensen Devlin Clarkson Shinnie Mckezie McGrath Sokler Miovski Strange one, could be the final nail in Robbos coffin, but lets see how it goes. Some folk suggesting Rubezic could be out long term, though nothing confirmed
  22. Apparently he can play as a winger too. Energetic/physical,something we do lack,....but then you realise he's struggled at Wycombe
  23. Not sure how long McGarry is out for,but curious to see what he could do as a winger in the current formation.Be surprised if we dont get a last minute loan or signing or 2 ,Robsons last hope of delaying the probable In or Oot - See how i feel after work Prediction - something shite like a 1 - 1 draw. Miovski
