This set me thinking about the season 1979/80 when of course we won the league for the first time in my life time Hibs got relegated that season and I am sure that they hardly won a point away from home but I remember them holding us to a one each draw at Pittodrie that could have harmed our title hopes. Remember it was a Wednesday evening and we were in the paddock and so was a small Hibs support. Verbal were exchanged and at the end as we were going down the steps at full time one of mates was hit on the back of the head by a shoe thrown by one of them. He picked it up shouted run and once on to Merkland Road proceeded to launch it into the old timber merchant yard. Still have a laugh at the thought of some guy travelling home that night with only one shoe
