Cricfree is usually pretty good, once you get past all the adverts.

Thanks Manc

I've tried that before and it's worked but last few times it's been to hard to navigate thru the adverts.

Beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Is it worth getting up at 5am to see if it works is what I'm pondering.

If it's anything like the last Lithuania game then I think you should just stay in bed, safe in the knowledge that the score will still be the same in the morning. Your dreams should consist of: "Scotland win 4-0 as Strachan and McGhee are hit by bus en route to the game".

Right ...come on scotland

Want 2 wins out of 2 here.

We are loads better than when we played Lithuania last time.
 2-0 griffiths Robertson

I still think we can get to the World Cup.

Our defence was always a massive problem and finally after picking the wrong players, i think stubborn Strachan has got it nearly right with the back 4.

Hope Snodgrass gets some time and shows what he's actually capable of.

We have some superb young talent in Scotland.

Lets build a team with them in it.

Am sorry nips, but I just can't get excited about the team anymore. The whole setup is what is wrong with Scottish football, from top to bottom.  It's a bit of a pain interrupting our good start to the domestic season! No team with the likes of Whittaker in it deserves support.  Regardless, I hope it's a good game for you and it's not a waste of loss of sleep!

Ha i hear ya manc.

I know what ur saying but i just cant give up on the scotland team.

Its so much more to me than 1 manager or 1 player or even a shite set up which it totally is.

Its our national team and ill always follow them.

Call it international rivalry...competition..country pride..fitbaw history..underachievers..who knows. Probably all of that.

Seen too many glory hunters supporting 'their' club team.

And world cups and internationals still interest me hugely.

I noticed a good story in the record today about a positive side to the tartan army.

Theres far more positives than negatives but some seem to dwell on the shit.

The swedish tartan army supporter talking about how meeting some of the lads changed her life.

Surely that's a positive.

:)

Anyway, at the end of the day..i dont think it's stupid or embarrassing to support your national football team wherever ur from as others do.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly agree with your last sentence and don't begrudge anyone from doing so, it's more that I find the whole setup tedious and ridiculous.  I used to love international football, especially the tournaments. But now everything is geared to playing as much football as possible, countries that shouldn't be there getting a look in (i'd include Scotland in that as we're shite to watch because of whos picked, just not been flukey enough to get through).  Tired of it all. The Euros used to be amazing, the last one was far from it.  The last world cup, I'm not even sure how many games I watched.  Far reduced to what I used to anyway.  TV and corrupt money (Russia, China, arabs) have ruined it. Cunts.

Absolutely agree manc.

The euros used to be brilliant eh.

I hardly wathed the last 2 world cups.

Its just not the same as 98 and before whwn we regularly qualified.

I still love it even though its torture.

I just have too many brilliant memories of going to hampden with the lads.

Mckimmie scoring  being one of them.

I think the team is miles better than it was. Pity it took strachan so long for the penny to drop.

That was said when be Croatia under Strachan, and then when we did well against both Germany and Poland. It's easy for a manager to get a team up for an England game and doesn't really reflect general performance. There's been nothing in the other qualifying games to suggest he has any fucking idea.

As for James fucking Forrest. 17 atrocious caps for Scotland to date, we're basically trying to play him into some sort of international form - like what happened with Maloney, who only turned good after being dropped for a while and very late in his career. Fraser and Burke much better options.

Should be an easy win though, they were gash over here.

Decent half. Hope yer watching nips. A couple more required to get the confidence going. Impressed with Phillips, and wondering - as always - why he hasn't been in the team more often. Forrest living up to my earlier comments unfortunately.

Strachan explained re Phillips before the game. Forrest the only downside of the 1st half. Woeful.

Very disappointing.

Never mind, they'll definitely fuck it up against Slovakia or Slovenia.

Please don't finish sentences with eh. They do that in Fife. It's fucking disgusting, like advertising our intellectual retardation.

Your "loving it even though its torture" smacks of tartan army endurance self flaggelation, a peculiar condition, idiosyncratic to losers.

The "lads" who went to Hampden were, and are, very sad individuals who's sexual activity levels are remarkably less than 10% of the national average.

Just can't get excited about watching a team that is basically picked from Celtic because "they're used to playing together".  6 out of 11, and that's only because Tic haven't got any more Scottish players.
