Dons vs Paisley saints

Time to kick our league season into gear and our first league home game. Last weekend was as expected as it was disappointing but will give the team the benefit of the doubt. There were a few positives to take from the game but overall I think we may need to be patient. That being said, playing st mirren is probably a team to gain some confidence against. I expect nothing but a victory nor will anything less be acceptable.

Obviously will have Scales back into the squad so expect to see mccrorie back in midfield. Another game for Bojan to get up to speed and hopefully we see Ramirez rather than Duk coming on.

  • M See Ronan (and I know this is the wrong thread but means I can pretend I never said it if we do sign him), but honestly, just end the chase for him now.  He wants to stay at Wolves, and

  • Do us a favour and use your influence to get kick off delayed. Train running over hour late and now some cunt just triggered an alarm. Might be struggling for kick off.

We've still not heard anything about Coulson which is worrying. He was supposed to be getting an mri on his ankle today.  Not to sound heartless but if it's bad I wonder if the loan can be cancelled and his wage redeployed 🤔.  I really hope its not bad though, I've liked the look of him from the little we have seen.

Did we ever get an update on the coulson injury???

Not yet, nothing on roberts either. Goodwin will be doing his Motherwell presser today so should find out then.

Being reported Roberts is out for 8 to 10 weeks with hamstring injury.

Just watching Goodwins presser now.  Aye thats the bad news.  The good news is Coulson should be back training next week.   Gutted for roberts but at least we are well stocked in his position.

Aye probably the one position we can afford injuries in.

And there were fold complaining we were carrying too large a squad that might cause unrest re playing time. With our injury curse we can never have too many decent players in any position

I disagree. The competition for places higher up the park is beneficial because it's the area where changes win games. Defence and centre midfield you generally want consistency and solidity. There's a big difference between having a good winger or striker in the bench and having a good midfielder there. One will get lots of minutes, the other not so much.

With regards Roberts, he didn't look a player on first (and second) impressions. I wonder if part of the move for another creative player is that we recognise the possibility that he might not be good enough. No criticism mind, we've had a lot of signings, some are going to be poor.
