Since we seem to be avoiding Rae and Kerr, is Michael Stewart any good? I think it's more than an ability issue at Hibs but rather a clash with Collins. Another freebee that cannot be worse than Dempsey, MacAuley, or Winter me thinks.

Two things about Stewart. Firstly he seems to have had problems virtually everywhere he has been, Notts Forrest, Heart, Hibs, and secondly we certainly can't compete in wage demands for him.

Lampard would be okay but any chance of Scholes?
