SC - Dons vs Livi

Livi haven't been on the best run of form of late, and obviously got pumped by Celtic at the weekend.  Last time out against us (at Pittodrie) we lose 2-0, a game which kinda summed our season up. A fumbling Lewis, shite team from McInnes, no proper strikers and no goals.

Obviously this is SG's first game in charge and all the talk (understandably) has been very positive, so I am very intrigued to see what team he puts out. I doubt there'd be a magically change in quality of play, but who knows.  He's got a few big calls to make.

The draw has been favourable to us, so we really need to make this cup competition count.

  • Never in doubt. Shat myself when I saw the former England striking coach giving advice on penalties though.

  • Time for a boo function me thinks. Just too much fishing. Imagine putting you and Ayrshire_Don 74 in the same room ?

Connor McLennan.  What an utterly brainless decision to extend his contract. On the strength of what exactly?  Horrendous player.

Looking forward to it, wouldn't expect much change from the second half of last week. Glass had been fortunate with the timing of his arrival. Hornby being fit makes a big difference to the setup of the team. It's not that I think he's particularly great (jury is still out), but having a number 9 on the pitch completely effects the way we play and brings out the best in the other players. We've not had a fit number nine this year and arguably all season despite Watkins playing the role very well. Hopefully Hornby shoes what his large transfer fees were all about.

Didnt Glass say in an interview there will be a few surprise changes in the team?

Yes he did. Lewis up top as a target man, Hayes in goal?

Will Hayes be standing on McGinn's shoulders??

It's Glass' new 4-0-5 formation.

Fuck it, let's throw everything at Livi.

I've no idea how the Livvy players can get geed up by the ex con cokehead with the ridiculous squeaky voice.

But they do. This will be a tough game if we play all the old donkeys.

If we play the youngsters, we should breeze through.

Really interested to see how Glass approaches this. Livi are no mugs and I would snap your hand off for any kind of victory regardless of how we play

Would expect Hornby to play up front on Saturday instead of Kamberi but still think best option is to play both together. Would stick to back 4 from last Saturday. Cup game so any win will do.

1-0 McGinn

Looking forward to it.A win is foremost, but be good if we got some sort of positive idea of what to expect from a future Glass team.

  All the best SG,and COYR

Looks very much like a McInnes team, will be interesting to see the setup. Harsh on McKenzie, I'm guessing Hayes will be left back, or no left back in a three.

players out of position already , another shitebag in charge... unless he is going 2-7-1

McKenzie is cup tied and therefore never going to play today.

FFS give him a chance min?

Have we named two keepers on the bench?

I know Glass is new to this management game but two keepers really?

Not too sure if this is going to cut out during the match, seems to be the international Redtv link. so fingers crossed it stays up.

I've heard that instead of playing it out from the back, we've adopted a style whereby the ball isn't allowed to touch the ground. Volleys only, no headers. All very American apparently.

April and the pitch is looking great.

What a creep Martindale looks

What a miss by the Livi player.

Highland league fayre so far...

Playing shite so far. Assault on Lewis there by the Livi thug.
