Saints vs. dons - sat 1230

Usually I’d say that this is normally a horrific watch, so it obviously makes sense to have it on tv, but given there are no fans and all games are viewable remotely , it doesn’t really make much of a difference . Never enjoy these games.

will they be a different beast without wright? Draw against the arabs on the first day is hard to judge, as they played half the game with 10 men, so I imagine we’ll see another cautious McInnes set up. Really hope we don’t try and accommodate the same three central midfielders , it didn’t work. I have no doubt we will see anderson on the bench, but I’d like to see either mcginn alongside him or Edmondson. Play to his strength please DM.

  • Sounded sincere enough to me.

  • Any fucker that played in last Saturday's game and saw fit to go out in town that night deserves to be hammered by the club.  Never mind Covid-19, they should have been in hiding after that perfo

3-5-2 with kennedy and hayes wings backs ??

Think it’s just 3-7 now

Canna be too canny with these lethal StJs strikers

Ojo ... jeez

looking better maclennan looking useful

Mon the hedges

yass Benson !

I like the look of Hedges. A laughable deflection of course and the type of pathos a game like this deserved.

he at least looks mobile Mcrorie needs to play CM looks a class above what we have

Game was on in the background at work. Pretty dire stuff from what I saw and totally expected a 0-0. Didn't see much football from us but a win is a win!

Dreadful first half but need to take that Maclennan Hedges made a difference Kennedy also... Mcrorie CM next game drop Ojo and Campbell

A decent result given the lack of forwards and how off the pace we looked. We will need to be better going forward but hopefully that is us back up and running.

Marginally better in the 2nd half. Hedges did well for goal admittedly with the aid of a deflection. Hopefully standard of football will improve once we get a few more games in as not watching that standard every week.

Didn't think much of the multiple substitute idea when it first came in, but it worked for us tonight.

Campbell and Ojo were brutal in the first half so it’s a good three points.

Don't bet on it. I would never argue about how good McInnes is at winning points, but I don't think the standard of football will improve overall.

A shame really, as we do have some talent at the club who can play better than what we often show,

Think macrorie, McKenna And ash between them is a decent back 3.

we have a glut of useless DMC’s. Ferguson apart.

if we indeed got 3-5-2 there’s about 6 wingers who’ll be doing nowt this season.

id love to see us attack using  hedges, Wright, Hayes, Kennedy, mcginn as well as a striker but I fear we’re heading for Bryson behind a front two ( and we only have one ) with full backs pushing on. This would be fine if we didn’t sit so deep.

Missed McLennan

I fear Campbell will be the latest in a long line of much heralded young players who will leave the club never having a decent run of starts

This 100000%!!!! Say it all the time, I think we have solid skilled players, but we produce regular shite football.

Actually thought Wright looked OK tonight.

Solid debut from McCrorie.

Superb to see Hoban stroll through it and get ninety minutes under his belt although still heart in mouth every time he goes into a challenge.

Said it already and will.say it again, not sure what the issue with playing Hedges actually is. OK lucky with the deflection but not afraid to take on his opponent and take a shot.

McLennan did well when he came on.

I wouldnt waste Mcrorie at CB he is too good a footballer DMC and push Ferguson further forward

Said the same about Wright on fezbook and getting a hammering for it ? Guess some people just want to see what they want to see. Apparently it wasn't a horrific performance (it clearly was). Had that remained at 0-0 I'd have cursed being woken up early to watch that. nigh on 90 mins of eye bleeding shite.

Thank fuck someone was willing to take a shot. Can't remember who it was (maybe McLennan) who got into a decent position and should have shot but passed it out wide. Kennedy put in a decent ball so i'm hoping it's a case of match fitness with him.

Agreed with McCrorie, he pinged some nice passes that the team just didn't read / control, but hopefully with time that get's resolved. I'm cautiously optimistic about him as a signing.

Hedges is a funny one. I'd be interested to see if he can maintain that level of performance from a starting position, or is he just a super sub?

Wonder what changes will be made for Livi.
