They probably are knackered but that's not the reason. Historically, before the all seater days, that was an entirely home stand. Then, up to a couple of years ago it was deemed an entirely away stand. However, home fans complained about this as due to the construction of the stand the accoustics are awesome and generate the best atmosphere. The home fans were concerned about giving this "advantage" to away fans so after some campaigning a small section of it was designated for the "noisy" home fans. You know losing to Celtic in last minute of Scottish Cup Final and only going out to Kairat Almaty, Maribor and Apollon Limassol by the one goal each time and now Burnley in extra-time.
