An enjoyable second half despite the homer ref, despite the cheating Slovenians and despite the lack of a goal. Who would have thought a new manager could have a positive impact.

Not a typical Steve Clarke 0-0 in fairness. We were very unlucky. An aggressive second half performance, with Gilmour running the show, and McBurnie and McGinn linking things up really well. I'm not overly fussed with McBurnie missing his chance, he's not where we're going to get goals from, and he's an upgrade on Dykes in that role. The wing backs were good, Ferguson very aggressive and Henry good coming forward. Gannon Doak dangerous from the bench. Few complaints overall once we settled.

I’m a fan of the nations league as it makes friendlies more competitive. Sounds like this game was helpful. Didn’t see the second half but sounds like a few positives, more than negative anyway. Disappointed not to win but a decent start with the new gaffer?
