Intertoto - yay or nay?

I see from the BBC site that Hibs, Hearts and Falkirk have all expressed an interest in entering the Intertoto Cup if they fail to qualify for Europe "proper" thru the league.

Should we be thinking along the same lines?

I'd say yes for sure. Fair enough it means an earlier start to the season but we should be looking to do everything we can to give ourselves a chance of getting the big games like we've had this season and earning the money that goes with them.

I always thought we should go for it as it means we are playing proper games rather than bull shit pre season tours in fucking ridiculous places!

It would mean finishing above Hibs, Hearts and Falkirk in the league though.

yay from me.

do it intstead of pre-season tours of egypt etc.

Definite yay from me. As SS said, better to prepare for the season by having a couple of real games rather than silly games that mean nothing to the players or the fans. Whether or not we're in that position come the end of the season, we will see.

Surely Hearts will have their eye on the Champions League, no ?

Oh how the mighty have fallen.  :lolabove:

Nay

We'll have qualified as defending UEFA cup holders surely?
