And again when he voted along with the Tims to block the once in a lifetime chance to change 11-1 voting, thus ensuring the arse cheeks will continue to run the show just how they want it ad infinitum

Said it before, will say it again.  Aberdeen, hearts and hibs should go to the court of arbitration for sport over this.  It's the only way it will be settled.

Any truth to the rumour that this charlatan is on holiday while our club is on its knees and staring down the face of relegation without a manager?

What a difference a year makes.

first I've heard of it Manc but it would be a great addition.

Found it, was in a herald article after the weekend:

“But we've got a lot of good going on. We're about to make another investment in the club as well to put an indoor pitch and extend the facilities at the training ground as well. And that's quite a few million. We'll invest there too. There's no bank debt at the club. So we'll just enjoy tonight and wait for the final.”

There's a really good interview with the Chairman up on RTV in case anyone missed it.

Going to jump to the defense of Dave Cormack here. Few out there blaming him for yet another bad hire/quick sacking. The club were not in a great financial shape when he joined the club, no training facility, a failing stadium, and other than Mcinnes (which coincided with significant financial issues in Scottish football and all of our league opponents except Celtic being relegated, and obviously rangers dying), we’ve arguably had 2 somewhat successful managers in smith/scott and calderwood since fergie. The rest have been poor.

since Willie was manager (could argue he was successful I suppose) we’ve had (not including interim) -

Aitken - 2 years 9 months

Alex miller - 13 months

Heggarty - 5 months (may have been intern)

ebbe - 3 years 4 months (nearly relegated)

Paterson - 1 yr 5 months

Calderwood - 4 yrs 11 months

mcghee - 1 yr 5 months

brown - 2 yrs 4 months

mcinnes - 7 yrs 11 months

Glass - 11 months

goodwin - 11 months

robson - 1 yr

Thelin - 1 yr 7 months

Since cormack took over the game day experience seems to be excellent (based on what I see on red tv), the team are more connected with the fans (maybe a Thelin thing), and in current modern football he’s given managers time then pulled the plug when it’s not worked out. He’s made significant investment with the training ground, and we now have a director of football. He’s invested in the playing staff. Look at the sackings of Martin and now Nancy, cormack hasn’t been that heartless.

I don’t particularly understand the hiring of glass, and while Goodwin, Robson, and even warnock weren’t my preferred choice,s, I understood the logic. He’s also been strategic in the firings, giving time to qualify for Europe and assess squads. Many wanted Robson as manager, an inside man and fans favorite, an he was willing to hire internally and give him a chance.

curious to know what potential owners out there would come to Aberdeen and give more and do a better job. Rangers and Celtic appear a mess behind the scenes, I dont think we have it too badly and should maybe appreciate what we do have. Not an easy job finding quality owners and successful managers.

Agree, its been a messy couple of years, but its been the equivelant of an apprentice Chairman, learning the ropes, and(we hope) getting better at it.

Interesting interview. Thought he was pretty poor for the first 5-6 mins, almost defensive and blurted out Schwartz almost like he was proving we were doing things. After that I thought he settled down. Bigger picture, club is sound financially, cup win, Europe group stages, fan experience, plenty of positives. But acknowledged the playing side of things isn’t good enough. And understands the frustration of the manager situation. Thought he made a good point about it being harder to get someone good in now, versus someone who comes in summer, helps build the squad, and has a preseason. I don’t think it’s just us that have been dealing with that.
Think he’s frustrated on the playing side but as much as we are hurting about not having a manager, we’ve added lutz, now mowbray, doc, the bizarre 1st team coach etc, willing to spend to get better.

Fair enough, we need to keep a balanced view here. There’s a danger the impatience of a frustrated fan base pushes the club into making rash decisions or panic moves and we just get back on the hamsters wheel of failure and underachievement.

I suppose the elephant in the room is that Cormack is leading the whole thing and his selections have been suspect across the board so far. If Lutz is yet another faulty part in the machine he’s building then we will continue to malfunction.

I’m happy to wait until summer but by fuck he needs to get this right.

The hamsters wheel of failure and underachievement you say. That would be an upgrade.

In that interview he said he’d put in £15million himself and another £10million or so had come from his pals.

If I’d put £15million of my hard earned into that, I’d be going through that dressing room with a baseball bat and flame thrower right now.

Then the same in the boardroom on Monday.

Seeing him sitting there next to fuckin Milne was just depressing.

Same question as with Milanovic - why…?

I would love to know the answers to two questions

1. Why the fuck is Stewart Milne still at the club?
2. How involved is that gormless prick these days?

Stewart Milne still stinking the place out. That is 100% on Cormack.

Totally agree.

Its inexplicable. The man is the one absolute constant through 30 years of pretty solid abysmal underachievement.

What do we get from keeping that utter loser hanging about. Nothing good for sure.

Its as unacceptable as that performance…

I don't believe for a minute he's put that much in.

The training ground would account for a big chunk of that.

The indoor pitch they are now planning will take another chunk of the latest £8million they put in, along with the expanded facilities at the training ground.

One things for sure, he’s put a shitload more in than fuckin Milne ever did.

That cunt even got someone else to pay off his debts ffs…

Yes but from what I gather it's been smoke and mirrors. Cash actually directly out of his own Shoebox would be far less than 15 million.

The embarrassing articles in the EE, by the fat postie, who would sing Milnes praises and paint a very bleak picture of where we would be without him.

Sad times indeed.

Milne is a shareholder. That's why he's there. If someone buys his shares then he won't be.

I’m no fan of Stewart Milne but I think we are hugely wide of the mark if we think he’s to blame for the current shambles.

Him still being at the club is wrong.

Him having any say in the direction of the club is very wrong.

I wouldn't let the him within the city boundaries, never mind Pittodrie.

Absolutely.  Bizarre to turn it on him.  It was actually the point at which he stepped down as Chairman that it started to turn to shit.

Stewart Milne should be nowhere near the club. He's yesterday's man and very much part of the problem.

His presence is toxic.
