not surprised

20 yard strike apparently. Good luck to the lad, he seems to have more desire than some of our players.

His 3rd goal of the season in just his 8th game of which he has played just 267 minutes.

Compare that to Mr Miler who has 3 goals in his 30 games this season!!

Yawn, heard it all before. My opinion is still that Miller brings much more than goals to our team and is the type of target man we've missed in the past few years

Perhaps the issue is how many TEAM goals have been scored during their respective times on the pitch, or how many assists, how many goals against us etc. etc.

Much more than goals?  What more can a team want than goals?

What exactly has he been offering us?  Couple of assists and that is about it from Miller.

For a spell before the new year, Lee Miller looked like the strong target man that we've lacked at AFC for a long time.

His hold play was excellent, he was unbeatable in the air......and was linking well with Mackie and Lovell.  His performance against Kilmarnock on boxing day was the pinnacle of some great form.

Then we signed Brewster and Miller's form has dipped since and he's drifted out of the side.

I still think long term, Miller will prove to be a good bit of business though.  We need to adapt our style to suit his strengths though.

The chronic lack of service means that even if Miller is winning the ball, it's not in dangerous areas.

Hopefully we get these 'wingers' Jimmy's after in the summer and we see the Lee Miller who was so productive for what was an attack-minded Hearts side under Robertson.

Well K-9, your questions have just been answered as I'd answer them. When Miller is playing upfront, the long hopefuly balls we play forward actually sometimes lead to chances through miller winning a header or a knockdown of sort. Whether who he lays it off to does anything with it is a different argument

Can't remember too many chances coming from Miller lay offs or flick ons.  1 late goal against Celtic and the goal at Inverness when Lovell put in Millers header which was going wide are the 2 i can thnk of but sure if it is as you say you will remember and post many many more?

Thing with Miller is that he either wins the aerial battle or creates a distraction.  That's what his role is.

Brewster gives the attacking aggression. Mackie is the speedy guy who when you think its too far seems to beet the ball to the line.  Lovell is the shooter type.

Unfortunately we don't have the £££ to bring in a complete package.

Scored another 2 goals for Dundee today.

Whats the crack with Daal anyway ??

Are we keeping him on after the summer or is he at Dundee with a view to getting rid of him ??

Anyone in the "know", well, know ??

What is the rule on an Amateur Signing?  Can he not just go anywhere?

Article from tonights E.E.

Dutch striker Dyron Daal could still win a professional contract at Pittodrie, writes Andrew Moir.

The towering hitman, who joined Aberdeen on amateur forms last August, has been farmed out to Dundee on loan after failing to break into the Dons first team.

He has scored three goals in three games for the Dark Blues and Jimmy Calderwood has refused to rule out handing Daal, 23, a proper deal.

"We have had people watching Dyron in action for Dundee," said Calderwood.

"We received a good report on his first match there but his second game was more favourable.

"Dyron has been scoring goals so you can't ask for more than that.

"We'll keep monitoring his progress and there's still a chance he could do something at Aberdeen.

"At least he's getting games at a higher level than the reserve league.

"Dyron has scored three goals in three games so he must be doing something right."

Another 2 today surely a recall and get himt o bang the goals in , think he wudve been good up against Wilkie today..

Totally agree SC Don
