Opening games of tournaments always pish. Hopefully 2nd game better.

Okay I lied. 1st half of Morroco v Angola has been pish.

I've never really found it an inspiring tournament. That was the euros.

I enjoyed the last two because they had some great attack v pish defence. tbf group A is easily the shittest. Ghana and Ivory Coast are usually watchable.

it is just. so. shite!

Mali 1-0 up late on after the Niger keeper drops it at the feet of Keita.

Kind of get the feeling African football had a short spell where they produced some real players, but now they're getting old and the younger lot are utter ding.

Last one I watched was in 2010 and the linesmen didnt know how to do their job.

They just stood on the halfway line looking back towards one of the goals. Almost every counter attack i can recall was flagged offside even if the striker had been stood in his own half when the ball was played.

Why they insist on having it every 2 years is a mystery to me.

Honking stuff so far. Having said that I can't remember the last major international tournament that wasn't shite.

Better game tonight between Nigeria and Burkina Faso. 1-1 but decent football from both sides.
