Yes, Brown GTF!! Leighton too!  ::)

one year? strange.

Yeh, i thought that too :/

one year? strange.

Indeed.

So is it that Brown doesn't view him as good enough for the long term or does Langfield think hes too good for us.

Neither situation fills me with confidence.

Was thinking the same thing BB. Curious, wonder who was insisting on the time scale? ???

Maybe Brown thinks he's too good for us and Langfield doesn't. ;D Strange timescale though. Not even the standard AFC 2 year deal

will be interesting to see who the other keeper he brings in is. Will give us an indication of Langfield's status.

Assuming we get rid of Howard.

Quite ambivalent to this news. Odd time of contract and agree, hopefully its an indicatror as to the quality of keeper he's bringing in.

Funster, is howards contract not up anyway?

I think there are other area's that need to be changed before we spend on a top class keeper. Jamie does make mistakes but which keeper does not. Ironically just made a great save just now.

Maybe we didn't actually have to be told he was being released/contract not being renewed or I've simply forgotten!

I can't see why Langfield would hang around if he was going to be number 2, even if just for 12 months and I wonder what kind of keeper would be guaranteed no.1 status on the dough we're paying.

Langfield can fuck off in my opinion. Hopefully we will get a better keeper in the summer.

Howard was told he was being released I think.

Good chance I missed it/didn't give a fuck about it.  ;D

+1

Is it maybe the case that Langfield "will do for the moment" as Paw Broon has enough restructuring to do as it is?

Or he's been offered captain/vice captain for a year?
