Jute
Brown supposed to be making a move for him according to Daily Retard. Decent player but always injured and at 34 a bit of short term fix.

Decent player but always injured and at 34 a bit of short term fix. Does it say anything about length of contract that will be offered? I'll happily take a short term fix at the present time. BigAl
If he is fit enough to pass one of our medicals then take him til the end of the season. After all if its good enough for Velicka
TENEMENTFUNSTER
Short term fixes FTW! McGhee was into short term fuck ups, fixes I can deal with especially in the position we're in. Ghetto fixes for a a very poorly assembled defence FTW!
dave_min
Good news if true. Is he not a left back too? A position last filled by Alan Maybury

A position last filled by Alan Maybury Unless I've been caught up in an epic banter fishing trip you're both wrong. Maybury is a right back. Davidson left. Apologies if I've made myself look daft and you can both go about your business as you were.

dave_min
I can only apologise, its just been that long since I seen a full back. I kinda forgot what they were. Must try harder.

boboisared
Yeah Dave, I was going to say it'll be strange watching an Aberdeen team with a bit of shape to it. So just Diamond to fuck off and Ifil to be put down and we're looking good.
TENEMENTFUNSTER
I have a lot of sympathy with that bobo, but I think we should see if Broon can get a bit of the old Zander back, Ifil, I fear, is set for a jag in the paw . . . . CtS
I was at Wembley when Davidson (LB) played his part in Don Hutchison's winning goal in 1999. Davidson, McCann, Hutchison ...... GOAL! Goal Scotland! GIRFUY! Happy days.
Rebus30
In our present position, I would happily take any short term fixes that were going. I think if short term fixes can help us survive till the end of the season then we can hopefully put a proper plan of action in place next season and move out of the transitional period preceeding the transitional period which followed the pre-tranisitional period and we can once again become a football team. Kowalski
His brother lives in Aberdeen and is married to a friend of a friend of mine. Will see if I can find out more.
sooth_stander
Obviously will be without the pace he once had, but I get the impression that Broon wants to go with three central defenders and two wing backs, so McNamee and Davidson would allow that to happen

KGB
Good experienced player who should help shore us up at the back even if its just for 6 months so no objections to this news.

I think Diamond has always been pretty poor. He just had very good potential if he managed to get the fuck ups out of his game and has never realised it. He was the type of guy that next to Anderson helping him through games flourished but when he's the main guy and should be helping out those around him he can't handle the responsibility and is prone to more fuck ups. He's also a cunt. Anyone that is told by one of the games greatest ever defenders that he still has a lot to learn and he could help him with it and retorts with something along the lines of "that jumper is terrible" deserves all he gets. sooth_stander
how do you get that impression? Jist that he says it will be safety first for the foreseeable future, shore up the defence, maybees sneek a goal. Just saying, like.

Agree. He'd be the first one out the door if i had my way and Langfield would be right behind him.
