I'd take the League Cup over the European run, 1995 is now a distant memory but whilst I was proud of the run in Europe I was prouder to see my team lift a trophy, winning cups is what it's all about, not getting mortal in Madrid etc, albeit it was great fun. I wasn't in Madrid or Munich but I was in Berlin 8 years ago and while I do appreciate what you mean, it doesn't even come close to having even more Dandies celebrating at Hampden when Miller, McLeish and McKimmie lifted those trophies. He frustrated the hell out of me. I don't think he had the confidence in his own ability to take us to the next level. I always felt he managed to do just enough to make himself look respectable. Just enough to haul us away from danger. He probably had potential to be a good manager, but after 5 years he never really showed that he was going to get any better. He served his purpose. McGhee was a failure, lets move on and hope that Brown and Knox can use their vast experience to manipulate the Board and make this club great again.
