Just saw Brown in the SSN studio saying there was nothing malicious about the tackle.

To be honest my first thought was that it was reckless, but then I am in the back row of the RDU so not the best view either.

Didn't think there was anything wrong with the tackle and have to say that it summed up our whole performance.

 

From where I was sitting it looked like Folly stood off the ball and invited the tackle when he should have made the ball his and been well clear, before having time to pick out a decent cross.

 

We lacked urgency and pulled out of too many tackles.

It was a strong challenge. If it was an Arsenal player or an Man Utd player you could bet we'd be hearing the greeting of Wenger and SAF from up here in Aberdeen.

 

Personally I think the challenge was OTT. It was clear Folly was hurt and badly.

The ball was there to be won and he won it, although I thought Dixon was wild with the challenge. Its a good job Folly was expecting it, if he'd put his foot behind the ball to control it Dixon would have snapped his leg in two.

Nothing wrong with the challenge.

 

Good solid tackle and if any of our players had made it we'd be roaring our delight.

 

Folly was just unfortunate and I wish him a speedy recovery.
