So whats your excuse for the rest of the season.  ;)

I only get out of bed when there is a semi on the go  :P

Possibly struggling to sell hospitality packages on the 1st and only just getting feedback that the date is a problem ? Arranging games on the 1st is not ideal but in past years they were traditionally very well attended as fans were keen to get out the house, same went for boxing day games. Possibly cultural shifts have now put an end to that and the SPL are still playing catch up. Sofalising for me that day too. For the record, I think we will give them a thumping that day. Just a sense I have.

Why it wasn't arranged for the 3rd in the first place is beyond me. No wonder the game's in the shite.

Corrected

If my mind isn't too addled by age, or brandy, I'm sure we used to have league games on Christmas day?

We have played many a game of Christmas day in the past, check out http://www.afcheritage.org/history/OnThisDay/index.cfm on Saturday if you have a spare second.

UTD are really going to be struggling for a decent back line in his one. Kenneth is suspended for tonights game against Hibs and there is talk of them playing Daly at CB they are so light on options  :o.

Even if Kenneth comes back in against us he will be very rusty with no games since mid-November. He is piss poor at the best of times so if he is the best they have we should be getting Magennis on to ruffle them up a bit.

I see victory.

I'm hoping this game will make buying my season ticket finally worth it!

Come on dons, you gave us a slightly belated crimbo pressie, surely you can set off on the right foot for the new year too

:AFC2:

This may become one of the most important games of the season now.

Might be the difference in gathering points to keep shooting us up the league or gubbing about in the lower half.

Indeed, hopefully todays result will encourage a few more along to the game as well

depending on the result tonight, if we beat the Jute cunts on Saturday we will go ahead of them

I really hope we get a nice big crowd on the 1st to welcome Brown and Knox.

However the most important thing is will the Pittodrie bar be open for a few pre-match pints so I don't have to sober up?

I suspect a 15 goal turnaround will be beyond us though :P

And it's that negative attitude that holds us back...  ;)

:lolabove: we get the team we deserve right enough!

Can't we appeal to the SPL to bring in Andy Gray's alphabetical order rule?

Danny Swanson now out for this.

I want to believe, show me how. Hibs to pull back tonights game is one goal. Then a 7-0 victory on NYD will just about do it. Bring it on. PMA.

Was a straight red.  On the beeb match stats looked like a 2nd yellow which wouldn't be an automatic suspension next game

I thought a red card for whatever reason meant being out for the next league match?

I thought it was only straight reds for violent conduct that saw you miss the next game, I stand corrected if not however.

Nope, only straight reds can be appealed, a red card means you are out for the next game. Unless you are a tim/hun, in which case a quick appeal will absolve you.

Maguire was out after a second yellow against the filth.

ah

cool

Anything that weakens the Jute minks all the better.

Really wish this game had been moved to the 2nd.  Would love to head up but fuck all chance of that happening on the 1st.

I think this will be a draw, we are getting better but still have fragilities.

Tickets are £17 according to the update they put out on Fezbook.

I think if a player got a red for violent conduct or dangerous play then they get banned for more than 1 match or it may be that the SPL have the option of banning a player for more than 1 match depending on the seriousness of the offence. As previously stated 2 yellows = 1 red = 1 match ban.
