Even as a Newcastle supporter I'd put Pardew down as surprise of the season.

Ashley must hardly be able to believe his luck in getting the fans off his back.

 

Agree, I was pissed off when they sacked Chris Hughton and even more so when it was revealed that Pardew is a gambling buddy of Ashley's.
