Scottish Premiership: Aberdeen v Hearts

Five trialists involved at Hull

Recommended Posts

Aberdeen have the chance to honour one of their cult heroes of recent years as they face Hull City in a testimonial for Dean Windass. As well as the chance to honour a fans favourite the Dons face their last match before the visit of Celtic next weekend. There will be a host of new faces on show this afternoon as Mark McGhee introduces five trialists as well as an appearance from Dean himself.

The five new faces making an appearance today are Rohan Ricketts and Craig Rocastle plus Idrissa Alassane , Mazin Ahmad and centre back Jerel Ifil who will start the game. The four other trialists are expected to make an appearance at some point during the match. With Jamie Langfield on international duty Stuart Nelson will make his first start for the club. The full starting line up is:

Aberdeen Nelson, Mulgrew, Duff, McDonald, Considine, Ifil, Kerr, Foster, Miller, Maguire, Aluko.

Come on ye REDS!!!

Listening to commentary online, difficult to say how we're getting on other than the fact that it is still nothing each. Couple of fucking comedians doing commentary nae even talking about the game. Might say it all about how entertaining it actually is

Cannae get it to work for me now.

Basically says he's shite and has hardly played a game  ::)Probably was an o.g, as the fuckwits on BBC Humber commetary are not even talking about the game half the time

Ifill was supposedly on the bench for Swindon yesterday and is nicknamed "The Beast".  I hope this is to do with his style of defending and not anything to do with his private life...

Leighton is being criticised by the comentators on Hull radio and labeled the "original dodgy Scottish keeper".

Bit rich coming from a guy who supports a club that have Tony Warner as their no. 1 keeper.  People in glass houses, etc.

F/t 1-0 us

Means fuck all I know, but can't do any harm after the debacle of the Sigma games

Restores a wee bit of confidence hopefully, Al. Especially with a clean sheet against a Premiership side (in name anyway  ;) ).  Hopefully McGhee likes the look of the centre half in particular and we can look forward to next Saturday with mere trepidation, rather than dread  ;)

Agreed, I didn't bother with the game today because I just couldn't be bothered with it. But its good to have a clean sheet against decent opposition. Hopefully we'll pick up a couple of these trialists (as long as they're decent obviously) and shore up our shakey team. This game certainly can't do the confidence any harm at all.
