Looks like they have split the league into two groups of 15. Everyone plays everyone plus one game against a rival from the other group. Then top 8 from each group play off in knock out phase to produce Apertura champion. They then have a break for World Cup and then repeat for Clausura. Sounds over complicated to me.

I feel like their league seems to always be complicated, didn’t appear to be a regular home and away fixture situation from memory either? Or maybe I just didn’t pay enough attention to it.

General consensus of the team overall is they’re a bunch of bottle merchants though, for chucking the second half.

Aouchiche got an assist in his first game for Schalke and Yengi even score for Osaka. Admittedly in a penalty shoot out but still better than I ever expected from him at us.
