This is YOUR fault, Sone!

DESPAIR: Steven Fletcher slots home the injury-time equaliser for Hibs at Easter Road.

DONS boss Jimmy Calderwood today explained why he lost the plot with Sone Aluko at Easter Road.

Calderwood confronted the young winger on the touchline at the end of their 2-2 SPL draw with Hibs.

TV coverage shows the two men in an angry exchange of words before Aluko is ushered up the tunnel by his team-mates.

Calderwood admitted he lost the rag because he believes Aluko could have prevented Hibs striker Steven Fletcher snatching an injury-time equaliser.

Aluko failed to get back to prevent John Rankin firing in a shot that led to Fletcher netting.

Calderwood said: “Sone is a wonderful talent but should be able to do basic defending as well.

“I was raging with him and make no apologies.

“He should know what was required. Sone shouldn’t need me or anyone in the team to tell him. He was on the wrong side of the Hibs player and his shot led to the equaliser.

“If Sone had been there to hoist the ball clear, that would have been another five seconds off the clock and the game would have been won.

“I don’t like being too hard on him because he also did some brilliant things in the game.

“But I hope he learns from what went on.â€

Calderwood countered his criticism of the 19-year-old England youth international by also praising Aluko for refusing to take a dive to win a penalty after he was tripped by Hibs substitute Alan O’Brien, when the Dons were 2-1 up.

Calderwood said: “It was a definite penalty and it’s annoying it wasn’t given.

“Stevie O’Reilly is a good referee and has a bright future, so that makes it all the more annoying.

“He would probably have given it if Sone had taken a dive, but I would never ask a player to do that.

Calderwood’s is frustrated that the late slip meant the Dons missed a golden chance to put more pressure on Hearts and Dundee United in the race to finish third in the SPL.

“I hope we are not looking back at the end of the season regretting dropping those two points,†he said.

Seriously? Fergie has publicly alienated players FFS.

I'm quite willing to be proved wrong but I am seriously struggling to think of an occasion where he has gone to the press to accuse a player of costing Man U a game.

He doesn't criticise individual players after matches though.

I'd much rather my manager came out and said i'd cost us one game than have him come out and say things about me the way he did with Ruud Van, Staam, Heinze etc.

Don't pay much attention to Man Yoo games so couldn't help you there.

I think Mourinho has in the past with Joe Cole.

And Mizer - to be honest with you, I don't know as I haven't seen the highlights. My point was that it doesn't matter where or who you are playing, in the heat of the moment you are going to be frustrated. If Jimmy had waddled down the touchline with his usual hands in pocket, occasional swear word routine, he would be slated for not being committed.

Personally I don't like Calderwood and am not a fan of his management 'style'. I just understand that we are all human and it was a natural reaction of someone that desperately wanted to win the game - which is the main thing I am concerned about when it comes to the manager of AFC!

I wasn't worried with the thing on the pitch as that does happen, its more of continuing it in the EE yesterday that I think is strange. Undoubtedly though the fat postie has made it sound as bad as he can to get the best story possible.

I wasnt worried

Fair enough, I wasn't saying anything either way, just that as a matter of fact he doesn't do that.

Sorry Adam ;)

It doesn't matter if you're playing in the World Cup or 5's at Strikers - if you lose a goal in the last minute that changes the result of the game then it is natural to be raging.

I for one am actually happy that Calderwood was showing some passion for once. At least he felt the same way as the rest of us. Its these constant stupid fecking mistakes that are costing us, and sooner or later he is going to lose his job because of them. Aluko will be fine and needs to take the criticism as well as the praise.

ahh alukos the big goofy looking number 5 that kept loosing his man?

LOL, quality post stonemeister.

He publicly slated the two experienced defenders who cost us goals againt Utd.

So let me get this straight, he defends players mid week, he's a cunt. Slaughters players after Saturday, he's a cunt.

He really is a cunt.
