Never heard of him before and not sure if he's already been mentioned in this thread, but I watched a Jim Jeffries dvd at the weekend and near laughed my cock off.

Highly recommend.

Adam Hills is a know it all cunt. But never mind that. Where the fuck is Seabass and who really read his book?

I would guess real person, you couldn't make up some of the stuff he posted

I thought it was another of ???'s's personalities.

There was something that hinted/made it obvious just before the pair of them disappeared, if I remember, and of course the pair of them disappeared at the same time.

I liked both.

Nope, he was/is real. Something in the back of my mind makes me think that Big Al bought his book. Seabass is real though.

Aye I'm sure some of the Glasgow Reds knew/know him.

Was sure we had a thread about this but had no idea it was that long since we’d had a post on it! Some fond memories of this!

finally got to see Kevin Bridges live this week. Kicked off his tour down here in wellington. Funny as fuck, a lot of cry laughing. Was surprised how hammered the crowd was for a Tuesday, some good hecklers getting owned too. Good times.

I missed out when he played in Auckland last night. A couple of mates went to see him though, both said he was just brilliant. He's a comedian id love to see. I've seen Bill Bailey, who is pretty good. Seen McIntyre who isn't bad. Saw Izzard about 10 yrs ago, he was rubbish tbh

Bill bailey along with jimmy carr seem to come down this way a fair bit. Will try and catch a couple more next year, just not fucking cheap!

Was at the Music Hall last night to see Dr John Cooper Clarke.

He is poet rather than comedian, but still very, very funny.

Love him & seen him a few times. I had ‘I wanna be yours’ as a reading at my wedding. The audiobook is the best I’ve ever heard

It’s funny because as a general rule, I can’t stand poetry

I'd ordinarily class poetry the same as I do country and western and heavy metal music, in that I have zero interest in it.

The sound was fucking awful. Even my pals in rows near the stage had problems with it. If there’s one thing that needs to be flawless at a spoken word gig, it’s the sound.  Next day, I had an optician appointment, and in shooting the breeze with Kevin the eye mannie, I mentioned it. By coincidence, he said that a colleague’s loon manages the Music Hall’s sound desk, and that he’d been telt by JCC and the support act to leave the sound as it was - nae tweaking volume or frequencies faders as they were happy with the sound. Maybe through YOUR monitors, JCC.

It started off very poor, sound wise, but thought it got better. I thought initially it was how JCC delivered the show.

I was sitting next to the sound desk, and the guy who was the support, came up and spoke to them and it got a bit better from that point, but I undoubtedly missed lines due to what I thought was just down the delivery of JCC.
