Aberdeen v Rangers

Derek McInnes is sure to get a warm reception at the Cathedral of Football on Sunday 30th August when he brings his all-powerful, all-conquering Rangers side up. The Bears have been irresistible all season, winning almost all of their league matches so far.

It kicks off at high noon. Maybe it's misplaced optimism on my part after the 3-0 win over Dundee, but I fancy a 2-0 home win.

I'm sure even the hardy seagulls of these parts, would turn their beaks up at feeding off that lot.

The have to play in Czechia on Thursday night so hopefully they will be a bit leggy. In an ideal world that goes to extra time and pens.

You're teasing us missus

Yes please 🙏

No matter the result for them on Thursday and I hope they lose, we will still be getting a tough game regardless.

Hate playing these cunts, but it's the sweetest of feelings when we beat them.

I still not convinced by us yet, but this is a great chance to show what the Robinson revolution is all about.

Think I’ll be staying up to watch this. Sunday evening 11pm, so not ideal if we win or lose as sleep will likely be hard to come by. I’m sure McInnes will think the boos he received with hearts will be tame in comparison. Don’t think it’ll be pretty, but back to the football. Maybe it’s not playing for a week, but I have a semblance of optimism about this. I must do it I’m sacrificing sleep for it 😂

I think I would prefer it to be Miovski 2bh. Just so the huns really start to hate him (at the moment they are indifferent to him) and he has an even worse time there

I am still nae convinced with us either.

As the b2b games against Dundee were only 7 days apart and was like watching two totally different Dons teams. So it really all depends on what one shows up this weekend, hopefully over the last two weeks they have gelled a bit more and raring to go and put the scum well and truly in their place.

I am going for 2-0 home win with Captain Kev at the double.

Would obviously love us to pump that lot on Sunday but sadly I can't see it. A draw at best. I hope and pray I'm wrong.

Knoester possibly fit enough to make the bench. Lyons out for three-four weeks.

Be interesting to see if the Keith, St Johnstone and Fraserburgh games put anyone into contention to start.

Rangers being taken to extra-time tonight by Jablonec is not unwelcome news for us.

Have we checked the team for a pulse?

Did those games actually happen?

Keith and Fraserburgh games were development games, but Knoester played 45 minutes in one of them.

Saw one post on X claiming we lost 2-1 to St Johnstone with Lewis Smith scoring our goal, but no idea the line-up, or if it was even true. All very secretive.

Somebody needs to dig out this banner for Sunday

I'm not usually for kicking someone when they're down, but can we please, please get them pumped on Sunday?

Knoester didn’t play at Kynoch Park, where the Maroons were worthy of a draw. I did see a pic of him at Bellslea where the usual girners and pant-pishers commented on non-matching shirts and shorts like it’s a fucking fashion catwalk. Robinson’s response to the question of Knoester playing against the hunfucks was pretty cagey.

Alors, je jamais…

Huns supposedly flying from Prague, direct to Aberdeen.

Will be staying at the Marcliffe and training at the Formartine ground.

Hope they have a few fire drills planned at the hotel this weekend.

Flight from Prague showing as due to arrive at 2.25pm today on ABZ arrivals schedule.

Anyone know the Marcliff’s head chef - a random bout of food-poisoning would be a real shame.

Noon kick off makes this a pain the arse to get to from here so with it on TV not bothering heading up. On the evidence of last night they are there for the taking by any competent side. Not convinced we are though.
