Heart of Midlothian v Aberdeen

A huge game for our fading hopes of the league title; lose this one and we can't mathematically win the league.

It happens at the Pink Bus Shelter in Edinburgh on Saturday 28th at 3 pm.

I'm not sure how this will go. Probably 2-0 to the hosts.

  • A lot of Dons fans said derogatory things about McInnes, so he can say what he likes about us. The hun c*nt.

  • I guess the difficulty here is the penalty Dundee got against us. In my head if a player deliberately gets in front of a player who is travelling forward and initiates contact it’s not a foul. Both th

  • There are no changes, it's the same image but with Nilsen in place of McIntyre. Like I said  - it's the average positions for the full 90. I don't know how accurate it is though (source was Opta)

We're going to do it aren't we.

I'm slightly concerned about who will score the goals but with him being an ex-Hibs player it may well be written in the stars that Nisbet will be the man to hammer a nail through the hearts.

Far too early to face thinking about this. Still coming to terms with what an act of stupidity buying a ticket was.

Just get these jumped up championship dogs back in their box in any way possible. I’m so done with them, a win at weekend would really make my month.

It would be very Aberdeen, to win down their and throw doubt on their title hopes.

I'd forgive a lot of what has passed this season, if we do.

We need to be at our very best to come away with anything.

0-3 the dandies (Nisbet x 2 Cameron x 1)

Jock journo, David somebody on TalkSport just suggested Hearts v Aberdeen is the biggest match of the weekend in Scotland. The two Al's choked on their cornflakes.

It'll be interesting to see if we play a back three again. Very few complaints about it last night, and I think it suits us in many games. In fact, I suspect we might have switched to it last night with the next two in mind. I thought Nilsen was fine in the middle of the two actual centre halves too, and I'm not convinced that any combination of two of the three that finished is good enough as a two.

With five days to recover, we should be fine, however the lack of subs last night was baffling. This seems to have changed since Doc came on board and is reminiscent of the McInnes days. Soldiering on with players who are clearly knackered, making mistakes, and just riding your luck as to whether you get punished or not. Bilalovic, Geiger and Devlin could all have been given a break last night.

Low loyalty point holder here seeking a ticket for this one if anyone knows of any going spare.

No one?

No worries.

An indicator of how normalised to pish I was last night I didn’t even notice us revert to back 3. I thought plan and structure seemed to dissolve around 20mins in as seems to happen these days.
Jambos injury list seems to be growing. Beningime a doubt for weekend, Shankland now late March at earliest, Devlin a few weeks still, Findlay 6 weeks out and Ageu (no laughing at the back) out for season now.

……it’s the hope

This is happening. We are going to derail the Jambo juggernaut.

Maybe it’s the distance from the game, but I’m not sharing this unfounded optimism 😂 the pink cowshed is always a tough place and we’ve failed with infinitely better squads. obviously would love to be wrong, but I can’t see it.

Not looking forward to this one even remotely.  An early goal for them could see a doing inbound and the best we can realistically hope for is a draw.

Interesting read over on P&B for the match thread. It’s hard to fathom the concern the Jambo faithful have about a piss poor Dons team coming to Tynecastle where we haven’t won since Primordial Earth. They have really got the fear this title is going to slip away.

…..when routine bites hard and ambitions are low…….🤣

If you don't ask questions you don't learn. What is P & B?

General Scottish Football forum called Pie and Bovril.

Perfect. Thanks.

It’s actually a decent read as you get a cross pollination of views from various fans and they generally keep the bigot brothers on a separate forum. It’s got a quite a lot of Motherwell, St Mirren etc types but the views are quite reasonable. Zoomers seem to be at a minimum.

I'm in. Lot of pro artificial pitch types on it. I don't like them. Not at all.

Edinburgh Evening News is suggesting McIntyre is out of game on Saturday which is a blow.

Sakes. So that nilsen and Milne at the back then? Back 3 with Molloy or a back 4 with Molloy and Devlin either side?

I thought that was what we were playing on Tuesday rather than a back 3.

Did you? Maybe it was the telly that made it look that way, but I was certain it was a back three. Molloy doesn't exactly get forward so maybe it was that, but I also thought Bilalovic did a lot of work back the way, which he wouldn't normally do, and Olusanya played narrow with Devlin nearly always on the touchline. Nilsen seemed very central too, because I remember thinking how fortunate it was that he didn't have to take it on his left very often.

It was a shite stream though!

At the game it looked like a 4 to me but our angle wasn’t great (had forgotten how shallow Shed is) so maybe it was a three as Molloy did look really narrow and didn’t get forward much but I put that down to him not being a full back but maybe it was a three.

It was a floating back line. Quite impressive to be fair. I doubt very much if Leven came up with it himself so I suspect that for all intent and purposes Docherty is the main man now.

I recall us commenting how high up the park Devlin was later in the game, sometimes ahead of the leading striker but that could say as much about where Nisbet ended up being forced to play.
