Not entirely, no. It is possible that a guy can want to sign several managers, but that they don't want to come to Aberdeen (and especially at this moment in time). Obviously Robinson is not his appointment, but perhaps Cormack has tried to come from the pragmatism/timeframe angle and been genuinely feared by the chance we might go down. Basically, give it another year and we can look again next summer when Robinson has run his course. There is still a shite tonne of things that require changing at AFC that a sporting director can get stuck into over the next six months and beyond. If Robinson can churn out results with a pragmatic approach, or even buy into the sporting director model, then that's an added bonus. If the penguin fucker is in disagreement then I expect we'll see his resignation within the week. 

We've had years to sort out the sporting director role, and it should have happened prior to firing McInnes. There'll be just as many shite sporting directors out there as there are shite managers I expect, we should really have been settling on a decent one by now. I'd say that every error football-wise lands on Cormack, even if Pfannensteil turns out to be a slavering mess.

Yeah there’s rumours he is off / has been sacked. Would make sense but what a fuck up.

Okay, I'll bite.

He deals with player contracts. He's got Dylan Lobban, Alfie Stewart, Alfie Bavidge and Findlay Marshall to all sign new deals.

His job this summer has also been to sell the players that Robinson doesn't want, and by all accounts has done it well and made the club very decent money (I read somewhere we're roughly £2m in profit from the transfer window).

The players which are his signings - a lot of them were players we needed in January when there was a bit of firefighting going on. And Geiger could have been a very shrewd bit of business had we got him fit.

This summer - the two German goalkeepers apart, are any of the other signings down to him? He's not head of recruitment, Darren Mowbray is. He's also not the manager so doesn't have final say.

Playing style: I don't know the every day business at Cormack Park and how much input he has into that (and neither, I suspect, do you). Is Robinson seeking his council?

I'm also not sure he would have really pushed for Robinson's appointment in the first place. So there's the difficulty in trying to do your best for a manager you didn't really want.

I'd say there are many others at the club who deserve criticism ahead of Lutz.

Marshall looked okay yesterday but pretty much the only youth player getting a look in.

But for all we know, Lutz was the one arguing to retain them as Aberdeen players and Robinson was refusing to have them in the first team squad. Lutz has certainly given the impression he pushed for Marshall.

There’s a lot we simply don’t know.

I’d be getting rid of chairman teeth, Alan who fucking knows where burrows, Robinson (and cronies) as well as half of the players before even thinking about him I think.

That's got nothing to do with Lutz. Playing time is down to Stephen Robinson and Craig Mulholland.
