Need a sub. Morris for Gueye or Polvara for Gueye. Edit: nah, we wait until they score, as always.
-
Yep, he was working really hard for the first half hour, then he's regressed. He had absolutely zero idea what to do when Clarkson put him through. Another beautiful ball from Clarkson to Nisbet there too, should be scoring.
-
Decent half. Dominated for 35 minutes or so. Working hard, and Clarkson running things again. A really good goal too, a fantastic ball from Clarkson and a great cross from Shinnie, before a nice cutback from Jensen (Devlin would have smashed it into the top corner).
-
He's doing alright, hit the bar. He's pulling into the centre when they've got it and then moving wide when we have it. The whole team is working hard.
-
Can't get a working stream either. Text updates... Edit: working now

Can't wait to listen to this one on the radio.
-
Have we done that yet this season?

I suspect both those sides were involved in the self preservation of the plastic pitch rule change and so karma will perhaps prevail. It doesn't bother me significantly either way. I would like Martindale to succeed though. I don't particularly like the guy, but I like what he's done and I find it intriguing that he hasn't had a bigger job.

It's a difficult subject, I'm not sure there's a good answer. I agree with @Jute that it will always tend towards scope creep - a bit like VAR, but not as important. It's the concept of playing God that I find the most intriguing. We've stripped the earth bare, dropped nuclear bombs, sprayed indiscriminate chemicals across the planet. The entire concept of civilisation is based on playing God (or the work of the gods, at least). On a daily basis, we decide that not only can we dictate the entire lives of the animals we eat, but we destroy any animal that might also want to eat them, or the food that they eat. Every single city, town and village is designed around the concept that humans are separate from (or higher than) nature and subject to none of its laws. We are, for all intents and purposes, within this system of ours, God. We can decide how every other animal dies, but when it comes to another human, it's playing God. That's a fucking bizarre God. Euthanasia is a logical conclusion to our system. It's good for economic growth. Probably.

Finished 2-0 (4-0). That's going to be a tough game for County or Dundee (I'm guessing the former). Livingston are good, and they're fit too, with two or three on the bench that can do a job.

2-0 now. Dandies legend Stevie May with a lovely lob.
-
Livingston looking certain to win, 1-0 up.

Scottish Cup final: Aberdeen v Celtic - 24/05

Aye, I hadn't considered that. In all honesty, they'd probably enjoy getting the plague. Imagine the victim story that they could build out of that? -

Is there a weak form of the plague that they could perhaps get in their squad? Maybe one that only kills a small percentage, leaving the rest out of action for a few months? -
Fuck it, Matty Kennedy it is then.

Mulligan at Dundee? I'm guessing that there's a reason Docherty doesn't play him as number 8, but looks to me like he could run up and down all day. Haven't seen any other Scottish midfielders that would get in our team. None that would also fit the profile required. I might be imagining it, but it seems like a lot of teams aren't majority Scottish in the SPFL premier these days, so it'll make it even harder to pick up a good Scottish player.
-
Five sounds about right. We've got no hope in hell of getting five first team quality players, who also happen to play the way Thelin wants us to play, in one window. We've seen what that leads to. Thelin - and Cormack - need to either announce another year of project work (so expect mediocrity), or change tactic.
-
This needs its own thread. They've averaged exactly three goals a game with one game to go. Over 70% possession on average for the season. It's not sport. They shouldn't be in our league. Something has to be done. It's ruining the game.
-
That was honking. Left early, and I never leave early. Clarkson about the only one trying. There were gaping holes down their right the entire game. It was a disorganised mess for the whole match. We should have been resting Shinnie after the weekend. We certainly shouldn't have been leaving him up against Forrest on his own, with acres to run into. McInnes used to do the same a decade ago with Considine. You need the fullback to be right in his face, but that requires Keskinen to be further back. Shinnie couldn't go out to Forrest, as either the fullback or midfielder would go into the gap, so he was left being run at all night. Seems the manger didn't spot it either. Palaversa can't play second halves anymore. Don't know what that's about. Knoester had his poorest game yet. Dorrington wasn't terrible but the first yellow was a little wild. Milne was good, but shouldn't be on the left. Mitov fine.

Probably our best team. Certainly at home. Don't think it'll be far off our cup final team.

Oops. I quoted your quote of me from in your message, rather than the original. -

Apologies, that was my wording. Should read: "Take a look at every reply you make to his comments" (as in the comments of his you do reply to). Perhaps they're not even in direct reply. -

Bullying? Fucking hell. You're dislike of a particular poster (@Panda for the avoidance of doubt) led you to interject and berate him for replying to a comment. Take a look at the way you reply to his every comment, then come back and talk about bullying. We can all see it. There was a xenophobic made on the site you're a moderator on, and you're castigating the guy who called it out. @OrlandoDon is doing the same. He hasn't said "aye, the comment was a little over the top, but I'm sure it wasn't meant the way it seems" (which is my position as it happens), he's essentially saying "you shouldn't be calling it out, that's political". Then doubling down again and again when it's pointed out. Delete the comments if you want, but don't pretend you're taking some moral high ground by doing so. I'd rather you left it here so that if a new Dons fan, maybe a non-native English speaker, wants to join this forum, they've got an idea of what it's about. Maybe talk to the other moderators to get their thoughts, because I think you're in the wrong here. -

Nah, that's bollocks Al. OD had plenty of time to drop out of this one, but he didn't. He doesn't get it, which is fine. For the avoidance of doubt: Spineless black shite = racism Spineless Jewish shite = antisemitism Spineless gay shite = homophobia Spineless foreign shite = xenophobia It's fairly fucking straightforward. If the OP had couched it in language such as "strangers in their own team", then that'd be fine, of course.
