  1.

Saying naming rights, share issue and private investment is going to pay for the shortfall is like me saying that my winnings from the 2.20 at Kempton Park is going to pay for what I eat tonight. It's a gamble that may or may not come off.[1]

The word "mortgage" makes me shudder. That word means that the club would have to sacrifice some income to pay it.[2]

It also means that there is much less money available to spend on the thing that matters to us most and is essentially why we support the club, namely good players, both bought and home raised.[3]

    1. Nothing like the same. One is trying to do something for which you mostly control, the other you have no control at all over.

    2. Which the club says including maintenance, will be less than keeping Pittodrie going now does.

    3. *More* money to spend on things that matter, see [2]

We are nothing like Valencia, or Spain.  There is no club in Britain got into trouble due to building a new ground.

  2. Banner in remembrance of Pete on Saturday's game and a minutes applause to be held in the 71st minute.

I'm on record as being against this fad of late for every tom dick or harry that nobody has previously heard of, Phoenixx however is another matter, a guy known not just to his band of real-life pals, but across the Dons social media pages as well.

  3. Life savings

This is a concept which has always been alien to me.

    Do you all have savings?

If I add up whats in my pooch versus what I owe then fuck sake!

    On the other hand

I've brought up 3 kids and I'm away to open another can of beer.

It's not about savings, it's about cash flow.

Yes I do, I'm terrified of being an old drooler not able to go out cos I've nae sillar in ma pooch :(
  4. Should it be a worry that the stadium still hasn't been determined yet, or is this just normal due process and does it usually take this time?

The W.A.N.K.S. have 3 months to launch a judicial review. There seems to be some confusion as to when that deadline is. Once that goes past it's game on
  5. It's not a myth, it's just not what it was.

Small undeveloped villages will still usually have it, maybe even larger ones such as the likes of Alford where they have it's own secondary school which draws people more together, but in towns and cities, pretty rare I'd say.

  6. Aye. Anyone who's seen the Rowie thread will understand where it came from. Never meant to be a permanent change. Just did it for a laugh but yous can all bet your bottom dollar that the more people complain aboot it the longer it'll be sticking around. :wave:

    Have a dairylea

  7. I'll be honest having looked at it more, I'm in favour, and this is one reason....

I've just shelled out 60 quid for Tynecastle and the semi final and am also going along next Tuesday for Motherwell; but I'll get what, 3 loyalty points for that? Maybe 4 due to the semi final. If I *only* did that over the course of a season, I'd get to roughly 30 loyalty points or so, but someone who only pays 18 a month automatically gets 40 points for the season and they don't even have to leave their house.  I'm penalised for supporting the team.

Yes, DNAers will have same loyalty points as you, BUT, they haven't been to a single match, and have paid out £144/£216 for that "privilege", so I'm not really seeing a huge advantage for these guys other than making a donation to the club.

  8. Dare I say we’ve got some good young players in defense and midfield? But wtf regarding forwards???

Cummings should have started, Griffiths when fit. there's yer first choices, need to find back up.
