There was a thing on the news yesterday about how much abuse retail assistants get. The wifie in the petrol station gets insults and unpleasantness daily and the physical attacks on them, the public services - doctors, nurses, fire and police etc. - are increasing exponentially.

I agree that "Black Bleeding" was hard work and hope that they didn't pay decent money for it. Never saw Black Sky though. Night Sky in the same room was interesting however.

You remind me of the wealthy Nippon. He spent that much just because he can without necessarily having a clue what he was paying for. The vast majority of the people who attended the opening of the revamped Art Gallery at Schoolhill at the weekend like you similarly would have had no idea what they were looking at but they HAD TO BE FIRST. Why would someone who genuinely appreciates art and who understands anything about it want to attend amongst a big crowd of people who have to be first? It's much more enjoyable to share the rooms with less of a crowd, not more.

Aye, sorry, the V&A building is tremendous, stuff to gander at not so much, 50% coffee shops, and 50% exhibits. It's lovely, but needs more stuff.

Went today to the opening weekend, surprised to say it is absolutely fantastic, and streets ahead of the much vaunted V&A, other than the horrific container extension on the roof.

 

Lots o interesting and unusual shit, and of course the usual pretentious crap that gives art a bad name. Like the Black Night picture that looks more like a Blackboard. I mean any cunt could do that, but no, it's "art"    Or it's neighbouring painting, "Black Bleeding", full of "controlled austerity" & "marks of his personality", when in reality to the sceptical eye, it's someone taking the piss and knocking something up in 10 minutes.

It's basically the top end of Ffortesque-Smyth's estate eh? The toff who was so against the AWPR he got the first route blocked, which wasn't going through his land, only for the amended route to go right past his stately home and through his land    and where some back roads around Maryculter went. If you weren't local you'd unlikely to have ever been there.

Have any Aberdeen residents noted a reduction in the rushhour gridlock on great southern road during the week or is it still best to avoid it between 430 & 7pm on weekdays?

literally everywhere has seen a staggering reduction in travel times, with one exception - the on/off roundabout for Westhill/Kingswells at the 5 Mile has seen much longer queues on that stretch of road. Oh how I'm laughing at the W.A.N.K.S
