  1. Stunning pick min. Given their goals scored in their last 8 games, all wins, I couldn't see the value of your bet, even at those odds, as high as we ever see for a home win. Well done you. Great hunch

"a hunch" doesn't enter the vocabulary of a professional bettor

Anyway, I am a net winner over multiple years on golf, so I will give my expertise here, cos little rocket man can't cut it

  2. .It can't think properly. It can't read properly. It's granite thick.

it can't think properly. It can't read properly. It contradicts itself constantly. It's a fucking rocket.
  3. But I also said it's important to define the subject first, before choosing to investigate or not, before accepting or rejecting.

What is the subject? The Vatican? The catholic church? Religion itself? I think the catholic church is an evil organisation so why would I give money to it? Why would any non-believer give money to see stolen gold? I know what's in there but fucked if I'm paying to see it.

OK, so it's important to investigate a subject properly, unless it's something you define as unworthy of investigation, in which case you'll just spout your opinion. What a fucking hypocritical pseudo-intellectual wank you are. You're an utter fraud. Bet you're really 5'2" with a 3" cock

  4. I agree that organised religion is a pile of shite, a system designed to exploit and control the masses but no, I've not been to the Vatican. Well I've been to the square and I seen the queues of people waiting to part with their cash but why the fuck would I want to do that?

Well, it's not a bad idea to fully investigate a subject before rejecting it surely? And it has a lot of bonny picters and steen mannies & wifies.  :dunno:

However, religion tries to explain some of the big questions and whilst I don't accept their answers, this doesn't mean that the questions don't exist. They are still valid questions despite their invalid interpretations. Rejecting an interpretation doesn't mean we should ignore or deny the subject.

Religion exists to enslave the masses, and it mostly does that. Exploration is not something they are interested in, it's doctrine, learn it, repeat it, accept it. Questions are invalid.

I was probably an atheist for 20+ years until I hit 30-ish when I started to realise that some of the magic that happens in this world (including to us, directly as individuals) can not be rationally explained, therefore putting some new (and old) questions back on the table.
      :spaz:

  5. How rude  :o

I was contributing. Religion is a pile of made up pish to keep the gullible masses in line. It's a massive power game, as is blatantly obvious to anyone who's ever been to the Vatican, which I assume you have?

As for art, bonny pictures and interesting statues, which is what classical art is, is fine and dandy. The rest, where you're "searching for the meaning" amongst an unmade bed, or a mono coloured sheet of paper. Yer having a laugh, the "artist" is having a laugh, and they know it, but arty farty types can't admit it, so the farce goes on.

  6. Aberdeen man David Law won the European Tour event just now in style with an eagle at the last. Brilliant performance and well deserved. There are no shortcuts to success. This 27 year old has worked so hard and having witnessed his last 28 holes when he won at Spey Valley last year, he's one of the most improved golfers I've ever seen. So chuffed for him and hopefully a MASSIVE boost for the sport in the North East

Aye brilliant stuff, and having taken so long to get on tour, amazing that he's not just done well, but won a tournament so soon.

  7. True.

My opinion is always the exact opposite of the clique over there, I'm pro Trump, pro bypass, pro Square, pro Airport extension, pro Tory etc, I hate the way they ban people who don't agree with them and the way they act towards others with differing views. Frankly I think they're arses, i'm sure the feeling is mutual! 8)

on the evidence above, seems so
  8. Interesting discussion that has nothing to do with the topic this has turned into.

As far as religion goes, Tyrant is bob on, we've had thousands of years for there to be any evidence of one of the many hundreds of gods there have supposedly been, yet still not a spec. Saying there is no god(s) isn;t arrogant, it's a factually based statement and absolute common sense.

On art though, blah blah, meanings, etc. Awa min, art should be decorative additions to a home or in a gallery where you can go and gawp. Where it started going wrong was when it moved from that to modern art that had "meaning", and then just any old shite dressed up as "art". Tracy Emin and her like are just the Dom Jolly of the art world, absolutely taking the piss. "Hey, here's a dead cow in a jar, what's that about"? It's about taking the fucking piss that's what.

  9. And yet the SNP, unless they change, want to leave the UK but stay/join the EU.

Brexit has weakened the case for Indy, only because this whole shambles will put some folk off voting for Indy. Even though Indy couldn’t and shouldn’t be as complicated as trying to exit the EU.

Well yes and no, it's strengthened the case for indy, but many will align the two and think as you say, indeed raving yoons already using that line. it's amazing that they think "look what an erse we're making of Brexit, that's you that is" is a winner. Sadly it will be.
  10. Guys I wasn't meaning for the option in this Poll to be taken seriously.  As one said they are just people who might be considered as being best within their chosen career during my 30 years watching sport.  Always wondered whether given Sports Personality Of The Year this Sunday evening whether folk actually believe Snooker, Darts, Horse Racing, Cycling and Mixed Martial Arts are a valid nomination for somebody from that background to be included in such a list.

Erm yes, the fact they often get overlooked is more of an issue. The year Hamilton won it was an utter joke, not sure if that was the Rory year, anyway, SPOTY is a farce now.
  11. You'll be steaming across to work in ten minutes next week with the bypass opening then?

Although, there is no connection with the airse end of Badentoy though, is there? A straight route into Portlethen from the road wid have made sense. Off at Altens and straight into Hillside I suppose? I'm sure there's a thread for this somewhere...

Aye, I'll be testing the various options, go to Westhill then across to Chareleston flyover, or get on at top of Milltimber brae and repeat, or maybe continue taking the Blairs back road whic hshould have less traffic.

What really needs to happen is the spur at the top of badentoy north along from DPD warehouse gets opened onto schoolhill road, would save a 2.5mile trip round Portlethen. Pish at min.

  12. I don't like to hand out other folks information online as I think that's a little bit dodgy if there are randoms watching in, but I could give you a clue given yer a loon fa kens the Aberdeen area you should be able to get it. It begins with "P" and ends in "ortlethen".

Aye good point, wasn't trying to be nosey  ;)  I live in somewhere beginning with "G" and ending in "arlogie", just so we're even. I also work in the "P" place
  13. Glorious weekend most places. En route to Skye Chance of a fog inversion in some places.

  14. Supposedly so that when NKS loses the judicial review and has costs awarded against it, they just close NKS down with no assets therefore the directors only have to cough up £1 each as it is a limited company and leaving WAEPAL intact with (£70k is the figure I saw) to carry on whatever futile action it thinks will work next.

Aye this is absolutely what they're up to. Bunch of utter wankers. Leaving the public purse to pick up the cost.

Now not even bothering to hide that they are one and the same

Support for the “No Kingsford Stadium Campaign” can now be given by donating to NKS/WAEPAL. All your donations will be used to support the NO Kingsford Stadium Campaign.

^^If you believe that, I have a few million dollars in Nigeria I just need some help extracting for a small "arrangement" fee
