  1. As long as there is interest in him from more than one club, then a year on his deal doesn't lower his value too much. £1.5m plus two players who haven't ever had a consistent run of form in the Premiership, and also have no real sell on value (Jensen is 29), would be an absolute robbery. High earners by Motherwell standards I would suggest. If they're on £2,500 - £3,000 a week, that's enough to be in the top five earners at Motherwell. But why? Motherwell play in the same league as us. If Jensen is struggling here as a defender, what makes him go up a level at Motherwell defending against the same opponents? It is of course all hypothetical, but I think Motherwell would laugh that deal out of the door. It's the equivalent of us selling Miovski for £1.5m to Rangers in exchange for Leon King and Liam Kelly and paying them both £5,000 a week. Miller and Lewis Ferguson are not like for like though; Miller is further on than Ferguson was when he signed for us. Ferguson had played only 13 or 14 games for Hamilton when he came here. Miller has had over 60 games and has played for Scotland. He doesn't need Aberdeen to be a stepping stone to the big time as Como likely give him that (Like Ferguson, do a job for Como and you'll find bigger clubs notice him).
  2. Just making sure you're all paying attention (which I clearly wasn't).
  3. Crystal Palace demoted to the Conference League due to duel ownership rules with Lille. Nottingham Forest promoted to Europa League.
  4. Cant put pressure on this lad, but a goalkeeper called Theo - I like it. He even looks like him ffs. It's like a FM24 regen.
  5. https://shop.afc.co.uk/souvenirsgifts/homeware/mugs/1035_afc-large-travel-mug.html https://shop.afc.co.uk/souvenirsgifts/homeware/mugs/1037_afc-stan-travel-mug-red.html I don't know if these are steel, but they are definitely a steal.
  6. It's fine, I'm bored of him anyway. Do we need a left-back? We have Gyamfi, and both Shinnie and Jensen can and have played there. Firstly, that's a worse deal than what Udinese offered in January when they tested Motherwell with a £2.5m offer. Secondly, if Como are interested in him, then the wages they'll offer Miller would far outweigh what we could. They have just spent £17m on Nicolas Kuhn. Thirdly, on a similar note, could Motherwell afford the wages of Polvara and Jensen? And it'd be two players who haven't really proven themselves at Premiership level so what's in it for Motherwell - they lose their best player for only £1.5m, and get two players on high wages who might only be average at best for them.
  7. Oh don't worry, they're making enough of a killing charging £8 and then adding another £5 on for delivery. "Mug" is the apt word. And yes I bought one anyway.
  8. https://shop.afc.co.uk/2025scwinners/2025scwinners/2025scwinners/2207_scf-winners-mug.html You tell me that isn't beautiful.
  9. You got angry, then got personal, and have followed it up with "maybe stop being so sensitive on a football forum". Yep, could not agree more pal... You're right, I totally underplayed it. It was actually a wild statement to make.
  10. Think he asked to leave because he wanted to play more regularly. We had signed Nicky Maynard, Stevie May and Greg Stewart, while Rooney was still first choice. By all accounts Stockley had a decent enough scoring record after leaving Aberdeen.
  11. Talking of Sam Cosgrove, he was one of a number of well kent faces taking part in this. It actually reads like a list of Derek McInnes transfer targets. As it goes, Cosgrove got the opening goal.
  12. McInnes did some Q&A event with Hearts fans tonight. Apparently (according to my Hearts supporting mate who was there), McInnes admitted he's not in full control of transfers. He also said he wanted to sign Josh Mulligan, but that Jamestown Analytics rated him badly..
  13. One thing I notice from this (apart from maybe Aouchiche, presuming that's him next to Knoester) is all our new signings are quite tall. Yengi, Kjartasson, Gyamfi*, even Milanovic - and I guess the goalkeeper, as would expect - are all fairly tall lads. *May be a trick of the camera on account he's stood next to Shinnie. Handy thing to have for set pieces. Also, think a lot of Hibs 'success' last season was down to how tall and athletic a lot of their players were, and we've maybe looked at that.
  14. I think you need to lighten up. Posting on a football forum that someone is 'one of the most technically gifted player we have signed since the early 90s' is a big statement to make, and is going to have people replying suggesting you're a bit OTT this early on, which I actually think I did very lightly.
  15. Yes, I'm aware of the difference between an opinion and a fact. I would debate more, but after your comment below I won't bother.
  16. Had a look to see how often Aouchiche and Tengi played together at Portsmouth. Not very often appears to be the answer, mainly due to Yengi's injuries. Notable though that Aouchiche played both just off the striker, and also on the right hand side. The Sunderland fan @SAFC fan said he often played off the left for them. So his versatility is good and from the highlights video @tlg1903 posted he looks comfortable with both feet. One game Yengi and Aouchiche did play together was the 2-1 defeat to Preston, where Yengi played as the main striker and Aouchiche on the right. Aouchiche pretty lively in the first half. His birthday is in 12 days, so although we've signed a 22 year old, he'll be 23 by the time he makes his debut, which changes EVERYTHING.
  17. Come on min. You've not even seen the guy play and have just announced he's one of the most technically gifted player we have signed since the early 90s. I do hope you're right though.
  18. How many decades are we talking here?
  19. https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/07/06/adil-is-a-don/ There's the new number 10. Signed on loan from Sunderland with an option to buy.
  20. Two reasons. Firstly, that's how we're liking up next season if Jimmy Thelin's what's apps are anything to go by. I appear to have been added to both a Dons management group and a classified Donald Trump one. From what I gather, 4-3-3 and a nuclear strike on Moscow are both happening in August. Secondly, easiest way of fitting in all our midfielders in the graphic.
  21. Here's where we currently are. I haven't included Vinnie as he'll be moving on, and if we're targeting Soumano then we're definitely after another left winger. Haven't included Ambrose either, but who knows what our plans are for him. An attacking midfielder would be great. Will be interesting to see which youth players make the European squad and which ones go out on loan. Striker - I can't see us buying another "project". So I think it'll either be Nesbit*, a loan signing, or we'll spend the money on someone who has been banging them in elsewhere. All three of those options are not July signings - usually you have to wait until late August. If by the end of August we have Nesbit, Soumano and Pedri in the door, then it's time to begin thinking of a good catchphrase for our next cup winning t-shirt. *As much as I'd love Nesbit back as I thought he was an intelligent footballer, I don't see it unless Millwall drastically drop the price or Cormack just pays the money to match what Hearts & Hibs are paying Shankland & Boyle respectively.
  22. From Jimmy Thelin's quotes on the online article:- "We have also protected ourselves if he does well, so this is a good arrangement for all involved.”
  23. Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen have made an offer of €500,000 to AC Ajaccio for their 19-year-old striker, Moussa Soumano, who is under contract until 2026. From L'Equipe. He was previously linked with Celtic. https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Mercato-aberdeen-propose-500-000-euros-a-ajaccio-pour-moussa-soumano/1575257 Also some chat that we may be interested in Thierry Gale, who is a forward/left winger/No.10. Bolton & Dundee United also credited with an interest.
