  1. Two games against Dundee have both been poor this season and cannot see Saturday being any different. We are not an easy team to watch at the moment but we just need to get the results that get us safe for the season. Would expect the team to be broadly similar to Saturday if everyone is fit. Would like to see us try Ryan Duncan instead of Hoillet on left just to try something different. Duk did not do anything when he came on at Livingston to make me think he would be any better than Hoillet.

  2. Thelin allegedly was just beaten to the Sunderland job by Michael Beale so with the Sunderland job being available again I wonder if the reason for the delay is him holding on to see if they come back in again.

  3. Poor performance today. Created very little all game. Thought we were fine defensively in first half but once McDonald came on at start of second half we looked very shakey. As well as he did as sub last week Duk was poor this week. Really don’t see what Hoilett does to keep starting. Thought he was really poor again.

New manager is going to have a busy summer.

Rubezic obviously not fit enough for the bench. Or maybe they don't want risk him on the plastic pitch.

    No Phillips either.

Phillips is supposed to be ill.

3-1 us and an excellent performance! Miovski shinnie and duk. Since I’m predicting the highly unexpected, surprise starter Morris with 3 assists and MOTM.

    Early start on the beers?

  6. Bologna’s game against Monza on 13th being shown on ITV.

Looks like there will be a Serie A game a week from now until the end of the season.

  7. This really should be one we should be winning comfortably. Livingston look like a side who know they are going down. Not sure I would let Hoilett keep his place and would maybe start Duk. One of my least favourite venues in top flight so will be glad to see back of them.

I'll be skipping this one like I've skipped most of the games recently. Still feel burned by that pathetic League Cup final display against the Huns. Ironically I'd like to have a moan about ticket allocations. It's a fucking disgrace that both teams aren't given every opportunity to sell half of the available seats in a so called "neutral" venue.

We were given the opportunity to take a 50/50 split but didn’t want to guarantee we would take any shortfall in sales while Hearts did. From the sales club were right to do so.

  9. Confusing watching Real Madrid v Athletic Bilbao. Madrid are at home but playing in Purple and Athletic are playing in all white. Been decent game so far.

Seemed to roll in at 5mph, absolute snails pace and the defender really should have saved it 😂 still, kudos of miovski for trying it.

there was a ball barron put through in the first for miovski (saved), where is that Barron more often?!?

Still cannot figure out how the defender managed to kick the ball backwards instead of away from the goal.

  11. Shit game great result. Defensively very poor. Jensen and Gartenmann are not a pairing that works. Needs to be one of them paired with Rubi or McDonald. As Rico said Devlin was awful with mask on but got better once he took it off but still not great. Hoillet was really poor. Was supposed to be there to provide width but actually kept making us narrower but cutting inside. Duk made a difference when he came on. Just waiting for highlights to see how the first ended up in the net.

Before we dive into our make-or-break 31st game of the season this afternoon, I thought it would be interesting to see how we are stacking up aginst the other two years captured at the 30-game mark in this thread, which also just happened to be our best (2016/17 - 2nd place) and worst (2021/22 - 10th place) seasons in recent memory.

I also ran the averages for 38-game seasons at the 30 game mark as a comparison, along with adding current end-of-season records as they stand.

    Some key points:

    • Fail to win any of our last 8 games, and we will equal the all-time 107yr-old record for lowest number of wins in a season.  Likewise if we lose all of those 8, we will equal the most defeats in any 38-game season (please step forward Steve Paterson and Mark McGhee).  Of course if this were to happen we would undoubtedly have bigger, more downward, problems.
    • We still need to score 3 more goals to avoid setting a new all-time record for least goals scored in a campaign.  This should be easy, right?
    • We should continue to be extremely grateful to Steve Paterson and Mark McGhee, as thanks to their efforts we only have the 4th worst goal difference this century, rather than the worst.
    • We are almost 14 points behind the average for 30 games into a 38-game season. Fourteen.  We need a minimum of 5 points from 24 to avoid equalling ll-time worst points total in a modern 38 game season (Hi Steve).

    Enjoy.

  13. Simply cannot lose this one. Record against County is good this season so hoping that continues on Saturday. As long as everyone is fit should be same team as Motherwell. As Manc says hopefully scoring for his country will have given Miovski his confidence back.

  14. That was worst performance in a long time. Created very little and looked really ponderous on the ball. Needed to move it quickly to break them down but we continually looked to play extra pass or take extra touch. Patterson was honking all game again and we really need to hope Hickey is fit or McCrorie get back playing regularly as we cannot go to Euros with Patterson as our right back.

Michael O'Neill rumours doing the rounds, mainly based off his Northern Ireland press conference today where he didn't rule out the Aberdeen job.

I had heard a few things weeks ago but was under the impression it hadn't come to anything and any interest was now over.

But I would be delighted if there was substance to these rumours and it was him. The day Robson was sacked I tweeted two names - Jimmy Thelin & Michael O'Neill.

Would not be the worst appointment although he has been away from club football for a while. There were plenty of rumours that he was coming in when Robson was sacked so if it is him it makes you wonder why it’s taken so long and why we had to go through the whole Warnock farce.

TBH Jute it is understandable given those factors you've listed.

I will be going, although not with any great optimism if the truth be told, more some kind of blind faith that I suffered from for decades.

By the law of averages we have to beat that mob sometime at Hampden, given the odds stacked against this, why not this time 🤔

Should point out I am going but mainly because I am a weak addict.

  17. Thought we played well until subs came on. Moved the ball well and created some good chances. Think Gunn should have saved the first. Souter came on and was abysmal. Should not be anywhere near the squad.

Xavi seems to have them playing well now but I assume he’s not for staying.

They have some amazing young players.

He got sent to stand during the game for two yellows.

Was very impressed with Cubrasi last night. Was surprised when they said he was only 17.
