Manchester City increased the pressure on Liverpool last night by beating Everton to go top of the league on goal difference.

First half formation did for us. None of defence knew what they were supposed to be doing. All over the shop at times. Why try a new formation like that in probably biggest game of the season. Better in second half when we change to 4-4-2 but had left ourselves to much to do. Annoying as they are not that good a side.

Only reason Hoban is here is because he cannot stay out of the treatment room. Ability wise he is clearly good enough to play at a higher level. Pish that a big game like this has been scheduled for mid week. Having to arrange ‘meetings” on Wednesday to allow me to get away from the office early enough. Would assume Cosgrove would be a risk given nature of his injury and would think we will go with May and Stewart up front and McGinn coming in to give us more width and protection to the full backs.
