Mackie's ace!

As I said elsewhere tonight, this time last year we'd played 8 league games and had 8 points. This year so far we've played 7 and have 7 points. Not much of a difference. To compare, 2007: Utd - L Hearts - D Celtic - L Hibs - D Killie - W Well - L Rangers - L Gretna - W 2008: ICT - L Well - W Rangers - D St Mirren - W Hamilton - L Utd - L Celtic - L It's not anything like some people are making out, some people need to relax. It's a new team, new players. Pretty much an entire new midfield trying to get settled in.

In the league, played 8, lost 4, drew 2, won 2. So from 24 points we had 8. At the moment we have 7 points from 21. We're not doing that bad...

Hart definitely did. Source at the club, and heard it from various people. He left because they wouldn't pay him the same as Zander. Anderson, after having talks with other clubs DID want to stay, but he'd shot himself in the foot by asking for money we couldn't afford which led to the club accepting offers.

My dad was at the Caley v County game last night. He said it was a 'comedy of errors' and that Caley were horrific, particularly in defence. County won 3-2.

Find it strange he's hanging around so much and no talk of getting a club in press. He even had a 'special message' for someone at half time on Saturday.

Hardly a whole new station being built though is it? It's refurbishing existing facilities. Bus station/cinema/shops nowt to do with trains to Cove though. The new bus station could cope with the extra buses on a Saturday though. There will not be a train link to Cove built because Aberdeen have a stadium there, nor because 'trains are more fun'. Fact.

If you look at the length of time it's taken to build the new Stirling to Alloa line and the Bathgate line, places where the majority of it was on the previous line, and for important commuter links, then I doubt they'll be moving the line just to accommodate AFC. What's wrong with buses? They already run a P&R scheme, it could work just as well, and there's the potential for a lot of carparking to be available up there too.

Bon Accord was fairly run down the last time I competed there (maybe 2000/2001) but it seems a ridiculous idea to close it before a new one is given the go ahead. Equally well no new facility will be in the city centre so it will either have to have good public transport links to it (doubtful) or else those who don't have their own transport will have no easy access to facilities if there are none in the city centre.
