  1. Have just been listening to Groove Armadas latest tunes: Good stuff! and
  2. Fully agree, especially as he was a minute off a point. I'd also suggest that if they had won the game, then this whole thing would not be an issue! Will never happen..
  3. Saw this the other day.. looked a pretty good game from the higjlights. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/blackpool/9178229.stm It'll be interesting to see how this pans out - especially as 'big' teams regularly play weakened sides in the carling cup. Fully agree with him though - who the fuck is anyone to say how he sets his team out. At the end of the day, it's his responsibility to get the most points from the fixtures.
  4. As I mentioned before, either McGhee or replacement needs to sort out the balance of the squad (full backs) and organise defence. Given resources - McGhee could probably sort the squad balance.. If he is aware of it.. I have no faith in him to sort out the leaking goals however.
  5. I think the words we are looking for are Oh Fuck.
  6. Waiting till after the ibrox game before they sack him is my take on that?
  7. This is it.. I think the problem is that many don't trust Mcghee to make the correct signings - FB positions have been a problem since the summer 2009 and they still have not been rectified despite having 3 opportunities to do so. From a personal point of view I dont think I can trust McGhee to organise the defence with or without full backs either. This is my issue. If we replace the manager two things must happen: 1) - Whoever comes in must be able to redress the squad imbalances in Jan (bad timing to procure players I know, but I think that this squad as it is will be in a relegation fight if it is not addressed) 2) - They HAVE to be able to address the defensive issues that have seen us leak so many goals in the past 11 games. With backing, McGhee may be able to do the first option in Jan, but I worry if that needs pointed out to him. The 2nd point, I have no faith in him what so ever.
  8. He'd be fucked with no transfer budget.
  9. Here's hoping the injuries to Mackie and Jack arn't too bad - the squad is paper thin enough as it is.
  10. Just had a scan Hat Happy Clapper: Jesus H Christ.
  11. Too soon. Would much rather have him concentrating on the field for the impending relegation battle.
  12. 4 points in 30. Says it all really. It's clearly not working and he has to go.
  13. The really worrying thing was that there was no fight in the team. Seemed like they were accepting their fate. Thing is, we played pretty well up until the sending off, having had the only chance (header?), but a man down & 10mins later we were 3-0 down. Pen at HT was a bastard aswell. Seemingly we didnt make a tackle at all in the 2nd half. RE Hartley off - I was defo a handball/ pen, but he wasn't the last man, so why did he walk?
  14. Great game and great atmosphere. Sunderland were gash & the icing on the cake was Bramble (Rapist allegedly) getting sent off... As soon as Newcastle figured out to get the ball over the top onto the forwards, the makems were fucked. If Newcastle hang on to Carroll & he stays fit & out of jail, they'll be safe this season.
  15. Sounded like we dominated large parts of the 2nd half - typical that St Mirren got back into the game at the death.
  16. If we are bottom after the first quarter of the games, even if we are in a cup semi, McGhee's position must untenable.... Personally I don't think that McGhee has the managerial qualities to turn 'his' team round and get things on the up. While he has made some good additions to the squad, it is alarming how we have no natural full backs at the club (I also believe this is where the problems are stemming from) and why this wasn't addressed during the summer months. Add in a questionable loan, our only remaining full back for a crocked striker, which added to a grossly imbalanced squad has left us in a right mess. Whats the options? #1 get rid of him? - too costly & there is no guarantee that the next manager will be able to turn things around + there'd still be the issue that no FB's = a raping on the flanks each game. #2 back him to get some FB's in in jan & hope that we're not 10points clear at the bottom by then? - Does MM see where the FB problems are? I dont know. we probably dont have enough cash for that anyway. #3 have a poll on an internet message board to see which 6 fans can go and protest?
  17. Folly, probs the best shout. McArdle or Vernon? - Langfield, is out for that reason, MM cant decide betwen him and Howard. not playing week in week out Considine - too young?
  18. Suggestions for a replacement vice captain? No one immediately springs to mind...
  19. Calum Murray is a cunt. If it was a straight red, we should be able to appeal it?
  20. Was at the other side of the stand, so didnt see the actual offence... Thought though that while paton was on the field, we looked alot more lively & I'd say that if he had stayed on, we'd have gotten a goal back at least. Your right though, this could be the end of paton. not sure if i agree with that. Also thought that we resorted to long balls far too often - probably down to lack of width in the team - which is probably due to injury... think i've just used up all MM's excuses there
