Totally agree, Even enlargening it to 14 would go some way to help this problem. They also need to introduce a play off system for relegation like they do in Holland. Say the team that finishes bottom gets relegated and the two teams above it fight it out between them for the last spot. In fact on Holland they even have a play off system as to who goes on to play in the Chumps league if they finish 2nd and 3rd. But that would mean the SFA would have to face the unthinkable that one of the gruesome twosome could fail to make it through to Europe. The SPL has gone stale, despite it being probably the most contested league for a long time if not since its inception. Something needs to be done. I think introducing a play off system will increase the excitment of the league right to the end and entice players and managers to actually go for it.

If we lose to QOS, I will deem this as a complete failure purely because they are not a better team than we are. I don't disagree that our board has to stump some of the blame, but its not like we're rolling in it. Yes we've had our most successful financial season ever, but we've got a huge debt that needs paying. But lets not get involved in a sack the board debate. As I said, I will deem it a failure with some incredible highs over the course of the season, but a failure none the less. We didn't even win the UEFA cup

I don't think finishing outside the top six is inexcusable, just highly disappointing. The SPL has been quite poor this season and we just don't seem to find any consistency against rubbish teams. Yes we've had numerous cup runs and depleted and injury plagued squad, but we should still be beating the likes of st mirren. The players should be proffessional enough to be able to handle this. Our season will be salvaged should we regain european status via winning or being in the final (depending on who we face). We've had some incredible highs this season and some incredible lows, but this is what makes a football fan, I just hope the board release a decent amount of cash so we can actually fill the positions that have been our achillies heel all season...where to start!

Totally agree with what BTR said. Don't think the problem is the venue, more the timing. Hopefully we'll be wrong and plenty of dandies will make it down. Afterall, its a weekend and people will goto great lengths to see important games of football. I can't wait, not been to Hampden yet so I shall be in attendance!

Do we have to go over this again though? Yes we would love someone else to come in, but the fact is, we are stable financially. We do not know the ins and outs of how the club is run so we cannot really pass judgment. Yes he's a tight fisted bar steward and appears to do little for the club.
