I'd disagree with you there Stoney, I can only speak from what I have read, but I think everyone wanted him to do well, but obviously thought he was the wrong appointment. why would any of us want a club footballing legend to fail? It doesn't make sense. Of course the board have a hell of a lot to answer for, but Mcghee got off to the worst possbile start, and it didn't improve. It was his decision to neglect the full back positions and it's haunted him from day 1.

I have thought about that too, though to be honest, I don't see the point. The team may have surprised them. I really didn't think I'd be seeing Mcghee in the away dug out on Saturday afternoon.

I'm guessing he's now going to be here till Jan. This is a farce. Why delay the inevitable?!?

Totally, it was probably the one occassion which we had a reason to push the boat out just a little bit further. I think thats what makes this situation even more harder to bare. As you said, we were a couple players short of having a team that could have arguably made 3rd place theirs and possibly challenged higher up the table. Hartley would have made a huge difference, but it's all if's and but's, but the board fucked up as they so often have done and ultimately caused us to be where we are now. A mess.

Stoney, you cannot back McGhee in this. He alone is at fault for creating a completely unbalanced squad. We shouldn't have gone anywhere near Velicka. Foster was arguably one of our best players last season, so why get rid of him. It was ludicrous. This season could have been completely different if he hadn't lost the plot.
